Having Trouble
I am having trouble installing it and nothing seems to help. I am in the process up unziping all the files to my eq2 directory. In my UI folder I created a new folder called profitupdate.
All the unzipping is going fine. I click on the file and then go over and hit copy this file and copy it to the folder. All goes fine until near the very end. The last 10 or so files will never copy. Says File Exists then Error occured while trying to copy |
I also haven't posted for some time.
I just wanted to thank you again for you hard work! Al lot of people in my guild didn't like the new default Broker, but cause of you I didn't even have to bother with it. :nana: Thanks again! ps. It might be, that it is fixed already, or that you can not change it. But you can't select you class on the localised servers with 2.5.1. But this is not so important. ;) |
Poochymama not sure what you problem is. My only advice would to be to download the UI file again 2.5.3 to make sure your copy did not get corrupted during download. Then once you have the .zip file just unzip it to your C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II folder, there is no need to create a new folder on your own called profit update most likely if you do that it will not know where to look for the files need to load Profit UI. Hope this helps ;)

Still keep getting the error message no matter what file I try and copy it to.
File exists then it says Target cannot handle this type of document |

Reason I didnt post how i fixed it is cause normally its not something people care about. anyway what i did was change the IconStyle="/IconStyles.effect" to IconStyle="/Profit.Effects.Effect1Style". Oh and while I am still on, I have added a moddification to the startbutton, it managed to join another start button with the one from you guys. I removed all sliders, and added in a mini inventory window. whenever i take a screenshot I will post that in as well. Thanks a lot guys for keeping this alive.

Hey great UI only one problem for me is my bags keep reseting everytime i log out . when i drag it will bring it up but still have to move it to where i had it and suggestions
By the way here is the 1920 x1200 resolution setting file hmm it did not take said invaild file guess ill zip it :) |

Think I got all the files copied however my screen still looks like this Anyone know what I am doing wrong? First thing I do is download the program. Next I go into my eq2directory under the UI folder and create a folder called profitupdate. I then back to the file I downloaded and open up the folders and then search all the folders for the .xml .dds .tga files and click on them, then go over to the side toolbar and hit copy this file. When this happens it asks me where I want to copy it to and I tell it the profitupdate folder that I created inside the UI folder which is inside my EQ2 directory. I do this to all the files. When this is done I go to my eq2 directory and make a new text document called eq2.ini. I open up the new eq2.ini folder and type this cl_ui_skinname profitupdate cl_ui_subdir UI/ |

There seems to be a problem with the "Available Coin" in the broker window. Seems it stays on 9999 for every currency type. Sony appears to have done a big one on us yesterday.

Question on Profit UI
heya,
First off love the UI, but something is missing... if you look at the screenshots of the UI you see a big bar with life, power and a BIG ASS % with some numbers made out of small dots/pixles... i dont have that on my UI.. Basdically all i have that shows my life is the group bar (if im in a group) or the little 3 bar skinny hotbar (with self, target, and implied).. Question is... What am i missing and how do i restore it? is there a hotkey? thanks :) |
Thanks for the broker window but I cant get it to work with my UI can you please tell me ALL the files that are needed for the broker window ONLY. Maybe I am missing one. I kinda use one UI from one and parts of another etc.. I would like to use your broker window but think I am missing a file. Please list all files related to the new broker window.

Part of the problem may be that I don't understand the instructions of this part very well. Can someone tell me what this means? "This will not overwrite any installation of ProfitUI < v2.x, since it installs into a new folder (ProfitUI instead of Profit18). You'll have to copy all other mods you want to keep over to that folder, e.g. eq2map (or just have it auto-update to the new folder). I have included a default UI settings file for 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1600x1200 resolutions. Best delete your {server}.{toon}_eq2_uisettings.ini file and select "1024x786 - ProfitUI", "1280x1024 - ProfitUI" or "1600x1200 - ProfitUI" once" |

used f10 to make some things visible that were not.. moved em, then cycled through f10 again... |
Bottom Bar - Small placement issue
When a user has 7 digit long status number ( 1 million + ) the status number wraps since there is not enough room horizontaly to display a 7 digit number.
I've updated my version but i'm to lazy to deal with some overlapping stuff with the Status Label so I will follow this thread up with the changed file when I have a chance to fix the overlap. //lollygagger PLEASE IGNORE - I was using an older version of the file and the status info no longer exists in the 2.5.3 release. |

inventory
The inventory window appears to be defaulting to the small inventory, how do i restore the large inventory display?
Also the images for the effects that appear under your healthbar appear to be missing. |

Question on the fonts: did you remove the script font on the experience and invalid target popup text? I rather liked to but it didnt work with smoothed fonts. And as we all know, smoothed fonts are critical for some of us. I didnt notice any changes to the bottom bar but I figured out how to edit the font type. I understand there's a lot of info down there, but the font is too skiny. I don't mind this on the top bar. Didn't see any comment about the displaced EQ menu due to the sound slider. Could the window be moved to the left side and the menu put back on top? Thanks for the quick response GM. We love ya |

Hotbar Scrolling
I looked through this section and did not see a simuler post so here it goes. I am haveing a problem because alot of the time I keep hitting the scroll arrows that change the hotbars up and down and it is getting to be a pain. Is it possible to use an earlier version of the hotbars that had no arrows on them or modifiy the current ones to not scroll up or down? On the upside I really love the ui though. Can't live without it now.

[DragowulfUI] Advanced Target and Implied Windows doesn't have this issue.
Maybe you can find solution from analysis of those. |
depend hp/pwr regen on something other in UI?
I see: normal - 180hp 254pwr in combat - 11hp 11pwr (realy not true :) ) |
