Hey Darq when I try to use live updater it errors out with error 003 can't retrieve updates from update server, are you sure your using latest version of software.

Try it again, 003 might happen if the update server was unavailable but that should be temporary and rare. Sorry for the error, please post again if you get any more gremlins.

Hello Darq,

I get a the same error plus the two new downloads with a size of 0 KB - if I try to play the game it crashes after trying to add the character to the zone.

Here are some screenhots

Right after startin the Live Updater:

Click the error with OK away an try a check for new files:

Then I klick the download button:
Download and Error - Image

Now it shows the two new downloaded files in red with an error (the new files are in the folder but with a size of 0 KB):

I had to delete the two new files now and use the original ones to be able to get into the game.

Edit:
I now took the files from the original download package, ran the update again and now everything seems to work.

Glad your trying to get a work around/Fix for the server errors, its frustrating cause it downloads a 0kb file and trying remove & re-download sometimes it takes 4 tries to get it to work.

Well the subject pretty much tells it. I can log in change the ui to darqui live and then exit the game and come back in and its back to the standard eq2 interfafce and I have to loadui again

Do you have your eq.ini file saying it's using DarqUI? If that is not listed it won't tell the game to use your custom UI, check to see what it says.

Switched to your awesome Ui a couple of weeks ago Darq. I like a lot of the features.

I am having an issue with the target window. I have set the ranges for the distances but when targeting a mob the colors and the distance to target are not displaying in the window.

Any assistance you can provide would be much appreciated.

In your Options window (Alt+O) go to User Interface >> Name and Chat Bubble and check the box for Show Distance to Target. The distance number is not turned on by default but is required for the distance monitor to work. I'll take a look at possibly turning it on automatically if a player is trying to use the monitor without it.

I was wondering if there was a way to get the timer overlays on the hotbars , and possibly expand the persona window to show health numbers/percents more like the drumsUI.....I've been using that one for years and now that he isn't going to keep it up to date after the 1st of the year I'm looking to change. This UI seems really great, but I miss some of those features

Spell cooldown timers are already on the hotbars, choose Frame and Titlebar on Window Settings to show them for each hotbar.

I've tried playing around with the armor set tab but it doesn't do anything. Is it suppose to be working yet? Are there specific directions on how to use it?

OK, so I think this won't work until the new expac goes live.

I can't see any buttons or text in the armor set tab exept "Ausrüsten" (equip) and "Speichern" (save). Maybe because I am playing in german language?

You should also see green + and - buttons above Ausrüsten and Speichern. These are graphical icons instead of standard buttons, so if you are using one of the custom themes you will need to update those files in order to see the icons. The affected file is specialelements.dds.

Hello Darq,
I just redownloaded the complete theme Fossil which I'm using but still can't see the + and - buttons. All I can see are the mouse over tooltips if I'm hovering over the empty space. I will try another theme to test whether there occurs the same effect.

Switched to theme Forest, logged into the game - buttons were visible. Logged out, switched back to theme Fossil, logged into the game - buttons are visible. Thanks alot, Darq - everythings works perfectly now
