Description
Discuss this and other Mother's UI pieces here.

** GU29 Compatible - No changes **

This should be the final piece of the set started with mother's group, mother's target, and mother's player and pet windows. Here's my attempt at a raid window that's flexible enough for everyone.

Arrange the group member display of you raid in one of 4 layouts:
6 vertical, 6 horizontal, 3x2 or 2x3

Arrange the groups themselves in one of 8 layouts:
4 vertical, 3 vertical, 2 vertical, 2x2 square, 2-4 horizontal, and just added free-form mode which allows each of the 4 windows to be individually positioned or hidden.

That gives 32 total layout possibilities which should fit just about any screen layout. Uhmmm, yeah, and I'm planning for the future, like Sony with the one layout that's 3500 pixels wide x 59 tall. Seriously, there should be at least 24 combinations that are less than 1600 pixels wide.

Background transparency is working and adjustable with the Sony window controls.

Re-laying out of the raid window is accomplished with the hidden except on mouseover button at the bottom left of the window shown in the third image on this page. Just select the raid and group layouts you want and have at.

I don't raid a lot, so please throw in on my thread if there's something I need to know to improve this one.

Version 2.0.0
Major overhaul. Acting on the suggestions of downloaders, I have looked at Ger's raid window and quite possibly successfully adapted it.

To move the windows or set group visibility individually, select "Free form" from the raid layout option.

Some things to note:
1. In free form mode, the individual group positions do not save. You'll have to put them where you want then each login. It was a challenge to get it to save the group layout. Don't ask for miracles

2. If you have problems with the raid window saving your group layout, try hiding it with alt-r before logging out. I think it should save anyhow, but if it doesn't, hiding the window should force it.

3. In free form mode, you cannot right-click on the raid window to pull up the window transparency options. Sorry, just doesn't work. Switch it to another layout, set your transparency, flip it back to free form.

4. You will probably want to set your mouse-over and no mouse-over transparencies to the same value in free form mode. Essentially, that mode works by making the raid window cover the entire screen. So, unless your mouse is in another window, it's in the raid window. Could cause the transparency to flicker oddly sometimes if you don't set the values the same. You've been warned.

That's it, try it out and let me know the result.

Version 1.0.1
Found an error that prevented raid member health from appearing unless you also had Mother's Group Window installed. (/shame)

Related to jhaan's post, Ger on here made a raid window that can do that. That's really the main reason I'm using his mod atm because as a hlr, I'd rather get my grp's raid box off the screen so if I see yellow hp or whatever I know it's not someone within my own grp. Would be awesome if you could do what he did with the little box to "filter" out whichever grps in the raid you want.

I'll take a look at his and see if I can adapt what he did. I'm not above stealing code from people who've already solved a difficult problem When I attempted it with my window, it simply left a blank spot in the raid window rather than removing the window altogether.

No health bar

I don't know what I did wrong installing this, just two files to put in, but I have no health bars. I have power bar, and I can see the shape of the health bar, but no green and no movement. Any ideas?

Issues with the window and the menu thingy

When you get 4 grps in a raid the little menu thing that has the options for how it's all set up disappears so you're stuck with a raid window that may or mqay not havwe all your grps and they may or may be where you want em heh And I can't find any way to get that little menu bit to show back up =/

edit: actually nm lol I just now figured out how to get it back up.. didn't realize the little ... thingy to open it was hidden and only in that one corner on mouseover til I looked more closely at those screenshots heh

This is a nice mod for sure since that problem isn't really a problem and I'm just a ditz =) kudos to you for makin' it

Thanks! Love to hear compliments... I'm just one step above asking for them

I was looking at the other raid windows and wondering is people would be interested in an optional add-on to change the background colors to the primary colors other authors seem to use, or the alternate color icons that match the HO's. If that's something that's wanted, be sure to post! I can do it pretty easy.

The button is hidden until you mouse over it, but it is always in the most lower left corner of the window. Put your mouse in the lower left corner and it should show.

Would it be possible to incorporate some of the maddbomber functionality? Such as click to sure, secondarily the click to cast and assist button would be nice but even showing Trauma Arcane etc effects in the raid window would be amazing.

I rarely raid, but I'll see if I can get enough people from my guild together to look at this problem.

Would make me sad if SoE broke this window irrepairably. Especially since I didn't get a single response from tech support about the problems I had with the timer window.

I love this raid window. Been looking on and off for 2 years and I've finally found a raid window I like.

Would it be possible however to color code the class icons by thier HO? For example instead of having Blue be Mage, have Red be Mage.

It is certainly possible. As a matter of a fact, I use mine with the altered color icons. But I didn't make the icons, and therefore don't take credit for them or package them with my raid window.

To use the altered color icons:
Mathod 1:
Download another author's raid window with the raid icon colors changed. The archtype icons are in a file called widgets01.dds. Extract that file into your customUI directory's images folder. (For example: C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\EQ2MAP\Images)

Method 2:
Download another author's raid window withe the archtype icons changed. Install that raid window according to the author's instructions. Then install Mother's raid window.

Either way, you should have a working raid window with the proper archtype icons, and the person who put the effort into altering them gets proper credit for their work.
