Please only post comments to this thread. Technical issues and other questions should be posted here.

Due to the download size of this set, I'll be issuing patches as needed rather than complete replacements for minor tweaks. Patches will be listed at the above link and in my next post in this thread.

Several of the changes included here were inspired by other contributors to this site. I've tried to give credit where credit is due in the included .doc file. If I missed anyone, please let me know.

This mod includes a modified version of the Modular Atlas Project 2.0 release. Forums for that project can be found here. A copy of their original txt file has been included for reference and proper credit.

Below is a list of noteable changes to the original UI. Version specific changes can be found in the FetishCombo.doc which now includes info for people wanting to mod this mod.

Cumulative List of Changes
General
  • Many commonly used windows have had their borders set to a simple style and made more compact.
  • All window default positions have been optimized for screen resolutions of 1280x1024 or larger and to minimize overlap. Smaller resolutions may experience less than ideal positioning.
  • Overall font set has been changed to Arial for space saving reasons.
Specific Window Changes
  • Bags: have been streamlined to remove bulky border, title bar and excess outer padding.
  • Bank: has been condensed.
  • FetishDock: This custom window controls the snap-to location of the Inventory window when shrunk. EQ2 should save its location if you prefer a different docking area.
  • Inventory: has been streamlined. Now shows character name. 2 buttons were added for showing/hiding character stats and XP bars. Help button tooltip now displays a list of rares for each tier. Title bar has been removed and window controls moved to the bottom. Added Zoom(.Z) and Collapse(V) buttons. Zoom toggles the window size between 100% and 75% scale. When shrunk, stats overlay is disabled and the window is moved to the FetishDock location (the screen's lower right corner by default). Collapse hides/shows the upper portion of the window (everything above the Primary/secondary slots) and locks the window in place. The Dock(D) button opens and closes the FetishDock window.
  • Market: Find Items button now activates on ENTER. Window has been condensed.
  • Merchant: Max window height increased. Window now stretches in all directions. sized icons and reorganized display/buy area allow for more listings to be shown.
  • Store: has been condensed and includes Quib's Quick Search feature. The Quick Search button opens the Market window and adds the name of the last clicked store item to the find field.
  • Trade: window has been condensed.
  • Journal: Side-by-side quest list and details frames. Entire window now stretches in all directions. Somewhat condensed lists.
  • PlayerHousing: Enter and Leave buttons now activate on ENTER
  • TradeSkills: Window now stretches vertically. Titlebar now includes a toggle button for the buff bar displayed on the Create page.
  • Recipes: sized recipe icons allow more list items to be displayed.
  • Filter: Sub frames enlarged to display more items without scrolling. Sadly a scrollbar bug prevents the outer scroll from functioning if made to stretch so I left it a fixed height.
  • Create: Condensed layout. Health, power, percentages and buffs added for easier monitoring. Stop and Repeat buttons now activate on ESC and ENTER respectively.
  • Prepare: Condensed summary page. Cancel and Begin buttons activate on ESC and ENTER respectively. Choose page now scales with window size to display more items at larger sizes.
  • Casting: Condensed window.
  • Clock: window now auto-opens and shows digital Norrath and Earth time
  • Compass: window always opens above the clock on login and pulls clock above other windows when shown.
  • Breath: Condensed window.
  • Experience: Window is much more configurable. Height resizes to show 1 or both XP bars. Right-click to swap which bar is on top. Added XP, Debt and Vitality percentages with 1 point precision, Adventure and Artisan class labels and lvls, current zone, Atk and AC scores, Norrath and Earth time. Time display toggles via button added to upper left corner (hides with frame). Window now accepts standard option settings. Entire window stretches horizontally. Minimum size is significantly smaller than prior Fetish versions.
  • Group: has been condensed. Health bars are thicker. Subtle background colors added to member areas 3-6 to distinguish them. These backgrounds are highly transparent and should not obscure the world view.
  • Heroic: Entire window scaled down to size.
  • Hotkey: Entire window scaled down to size.
  • Loot: has been condensed.
  • MainChat: Scrollbars moved to the right side for consistency.
  • Map: Reduced "You are Here" indicator and zone sizes. All "Mariner's Bell" icons set to orange to distinguish them from standard zones. Corrected many PathFinder locs in Freeport zones. Added several Freeport waypoints. Set more informative tooltips for many Freeport waypoints. Added and repositioned labels on the Freeport city map. Integrated custom maps, points of interest and other features from the "Modular Map Project". Integrated MiniMap.
  • MiniMap: This custom window auto-loads most tier 1-3 maps, without a fog layer, when opened or the mouse rolls over the lower half of the window. A text entry box can be used to manually load any cached map. The entire window can be made transparent. The maginfication button cycles through four scales (33%, 50% default, 75% 100%). The Zoom(Z) button snaps MiniMap to the main Map at 100% scale. When combined with transparency and manual map loading, this allows virtual defogging of any zone.
  • Player: now includes percentages. Health and power bars are thicker and wider without endcaps. Concentration pills are slightly larger for easier mouseover.
  • Pet: Health and Power percentages added. Condensed layout.
  • Skills: Condensed window now stretches in all directions.
  • Target: Window now stretch horizontally in both new and old modes. Frame flash red while auto-attack is on. "Smart" level indicator added to new mode (shows target lvl when info field is normally blank). Added power bar and lvl indicator, health and power percentages. Thickened health and power bars.
  • Implied Target: Window now stretch horizontally in both new and old modes. Frame flash red while auto-attack is on. "Smart" level indicator added to new mode (shows target lvl when info field is normally blank). Added power bar and lvl indicator, health and power percentages. Thickened health and power bars. Matches Target window.
  • Tracking: has been condensed and now collapses to less than half it's prior minimum width
  • Zoning: No longer blanks the entire screen. Chat while zoning is possible but does not respect BACKSPACE, ENTER, slash or other keys that normally place focus in the chat window. You must click the chat window's text entry area to chat.
  • Community: window has been condensed. Added missing Notes button.
  • Examine: windows have been condensed.
Known Bugs
  • The background of the fourth item listed in the Quest Helper is black regardless of window settings. Reported bug.
  • Checkbox button states are not saved. This can result in needing to click a button twice before it functions. Known bug.
  • Logging with the Inventory window shrunk can result in poor expand placement after relogging.
  • Long bag titles have less than ideal wrapping. Space conservation was given priority.
  • Some visual oddities appear with the Journal at various sizes. Detail lists sometimes appear truncated when swapping between short and long lists.
  • Scrollbars do not properly update when some windows are stretched, particularly those windows that have fixed sizes in the default UI. Clicking a sort column or an item in the scroll controlled area usually fixes the scrollbar. This bug makes it impossible to set some windows/pages to stretch (Recipe/Filter for example) without breaking scroll-ability. Reported bug.
  • Chat entry commands disabled while zoning. This is most likely intentional behavior set on the server side. Change request submitted.

Hey just downloaded it yesterday everything worked great except when I opened bags or boxes. It would show the name up at the top of the window but all the slots of the bags were missing. So I couldnt see anything in the bags not sure what would have caused this. Tried clicking where a slot would be just ended up targeting the person infront of so not triggering the slots at all. Going to delete ui and try again unless any of you have a suggestion as to what went wrong or if i messed something up.

Maps?

Hey Zonx, I just got your Nightfall mod.. and i have to say, I'm really impressed.

Only thing I'm having trouble with is the way my maps interface. I can see the map image, but there are no icons (still using default eq maps atm). I tried downloading some custom maps, but I cant figure out how to incorporate them into your existing UI.

Dont suppose you could bail me out here? ^_^

FYI, this is not the place to post about technical issues as noted in RED in the first post, so I haven't been focused on this particular thread.

Yes this set will continue to be supported under a new title FetishClassic. However, I encourage you all to try FetishNightfall since it will be the foundation for all future Fetish mods.

I'll be working on FetishClassic as soon as Nightfall is officially released (about 1 week from now). Some new features from Nightfall will be ported back to Classic, but not all.

Individual pieces from Classic will be update after both sets are done.

I do plan to release a "Classic like" theme for Nightfall in the future if you're not wild about the Nightfall color scheme.

Check the FetishCombo Released thread for answers to technical questions concerning 2.5. You'll want to make the font changes noted there. You'll also want to delete several files broken by recent patches if found in your Fetish directory. Off the top of my head, these include:

eq2ui.xml needs includes added for new SplitterStyles (unneeded until Journal is updated).
eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml lvl display is broken
eq2ui_journals_active.xml trival positioning tweak
eq2ui_journals_quest.xml new Splitter sizing feature missing
eq2ui_mainhud_experience.xml lvl display is broken
eq2ui_tradeskills.xml buffbar is broken

With yesterdays patch, 3/21, I can't get into an inn room when I have to filter by name. Just won't allow my input to the filter line.

Anyone else having problems?

Love the skin, been using it for a while now and didn't realize how much I actually loved it until yesterday's patch when all of a sudden I had to go back to the standard skin, man that's horrible!

Great Mod, I use it and love the options it offers. Only downside I think is it isn't character proprietory, meaning all toons share same mod, wouldn't be an issue if my GF would finally buy her own copy of EQ2 =)

Percent & Numbers

I love your mod!

One request. Could you add power and health numbers as well as the percent?

Like this:

Health Bar 100% 1400 / 1400
Power Bar 100% 1600 / 1600

As a caster I need to know how much power i actually have in those tight fights.

2.5 is a full release, not an update. Download it, trash your old Fetish directory and install from scratch

Future patch files will be linked from this thread and the Released thread with a different file name.

Sorry if that was a bit unclear in the first post.

I wish it were possible to have.....

I wish it were possible to have access to download the older versions of the FetishCombo. The previous version I had was 1.3 and unfortunatley i have not been updating the UI since the current version of 2.5. I have missed out on alot of very cool stuff and since this is just an update from 2.0 then how would I be able to update ALL the files I have missed out on from the previous versions? I would appreciate any information. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Great plugin by the way Zonx.

Yah I noticed this too. Those were never intended to be visible since the data elements don't currently work.

This and a few other tweaks plus the latest changes from SOE should be posted tonight. I'll be rolling up all the pathces I've done to date.
