Group Menu using Templar Group UI

Description

Version v09.09.2006

70:Templar Group UI,

This group UI mod is specificially for level 70 Templar at the moment. In future I might have it work with other levels but for now if you want that you'll need to edit the file to work with your spell names.

This group UI performs the click to cure (arcane, truama, poison and elemental) as well as click to heal, reactive/ward, focus(for templar) and so on.

INSTALL:
UI Files included in this zip.
eq2ui_mainhud_groupmembers.xml (group menu for templar)

Unzip the contents into your custom UI directory. Do this so you also have the included image files that are required.

Once you have done that you should be able to login to EQ2 and see the new group UI once you have group members.

To activate the icons simply press them and it will cast that effect on that player. If the player has a poison or any other effect it will show an icon to the left or right of their name and how many effects of that type they are infected with. Click that icon and it will cast the cure for it. Due to the way the casting is performed it will NOT queue the spells. The reason for this is to make sure that the player is targeted during heavy activity seasons I target them using a target command. You shouldn't ever have a situation where you click the spell icon and it not change your target. If you do let me know but I'm not sure what else I can do to ensure it works.

From left to right the spell icons for Templar in the group menu are:
Resurrect, Salvation, Reverance, Focus, Single Reactive, Large Cast-Heal, Small Cast-Heal

You can see the names of them by mousing over the icons.

Each player has a F-Key associated with them and is displayed. So player 1 is F2, player 2 is F3 and so on. This is for those people like me that can't seem to remember.

If you wish to follow someone in your group simply click the F-Key icon for that player.

When a member joins or drops from group a join/leave group sound will be heard (you will hear that sound when you first load up EQ2 as well, due to how the game loads UI files).

XML Help

I am trying to covert this to Fury spells, so far so good. I can convert most spells by simply changing the labels and the usability spellname lines however I have run into a wall with my group regen, Ram's Growth. I simply cannot get the game to accept the apostrophe in the spell name.

Things I have tried.
Ram's Growth

Ram''s Growth
Ram"'"s Growth
Ram\'s Growth
etc etc

Some variations make the button not work, some crash the game, and one tried to cast Ram s Growth without the apostrophe which didn't work either. If the someone could enlighten me with this tiny bit of syntax I would be grateful. Thanks.

edit: how amusing the forums converted two of my lines into apostrophes, they were & #39; and & #8217; without the space, if only the damn game could be as smart as these forums.

Believe it or not my defiler just hit 70. I am in the process of testing it otu for that and once I am sure the kinks are worked out I'll post it.

This version now supports level 70 defilers. The templar version is still included as well.

Defiler support moved

I've created a different file for the Defiler support. I did this because currently I am playing my defiler more and so the feature list for it is greater. This way I've seperated the 2 and won't be any confusion.

Check the group UI section for the new defiler upload. It should be:

Well I finally got this installed and working on my wifes computer only problem so far is the click to cure doesn't seem to be working on herself. Is there something more I need. I have the images file and the XML file in the proper places

Great UI - helps with those HoF runs

Question is: Have you considered (or can you simply with a pic editor) resize the graphic? I understand that less useful smaller, however for those of us already use to other features of another UI - it would be more usable in a smaller graphic form. In fact, I could live without the heal clickage and keep the trama, etc clickage if it would reduce the footprint (ie to work with something like the penta or profit UIs).

The best part of this UI is the cure trama/poison/etc click to cure! Great work!

Click to cure templar

I was wondering if this UI is still usable? I just hit 70 templar and it sounds nice to have. However I can not get the thing to work as stated in the read file. I was wondering if it still works...

Just open the hudgrpmember window with notepad after downloading and change defiler/templar spells to your own spells... I currently use this Grp window on my 70 mystic and have ghastly savior/torpor/eidolic ward/ethereal aegis/learned healing/rejuvenating rite set in place.. sure everytime you zone lol it says requires defiler but it still works like a champ

can u make it bigger?

I like this mod a lot, but can you make it bigger? I'd like to see it douible the size it is. i tried to modify it with uibuilder but thats a little beyond me. Thankyou and keep up the excellent work.
