Description
DarqUI Unified

December 13, 2018

Mount and Familiar Presets
  • Save up to three mounts and three familiars as favorites and recast from convenient preset buttons on the Character window. Inspired by a request from SerenityMW and recent threads here and here on the subject. Thanks to SerenityMW and Rosyposy for tireless testing and feedback (on five beta versions!)

Community (Friends List)
  • The Community window no longer interferes with chat window operation (SerenityMW)

Threat Window
  • Celestial and Dauntless remedy potions are now self-cure choices (SerenityMW)

December 4, 2018

Target
  • Normal and Large size target windows have been updated to include the new horizontal resizing default feature (image)

Audible Countdown
  • Configurable sounds have been added to the new group and raid /countdown command. This is an experimental mod, so it's not on the DarqUI updater. Unzip and drop the file below into your custom UI folder if you want to try it out. Sound variables are near the bottom of the file if you want to change the sounds. You can configure a separate sound for each of the five seconds and the "Begin!" display, as well as turn on/off the feature.

November 13, 2018: Chaos Descending

A new version of DarqUI is available. Version 3.1.1.8 includes the following new features and improvements:

Utility v3.1.1.8 adds broker log support for non-US clients. If you are not having trouble displaying broker logs, then you can continue using v3.1.1.7. Thanks to saw-lau for reporting the bug

Shutdown (Camp) Window
  • Rearrange the order of account tabs using the Nickname field. See the help file for instructions
Thanks to Hiza for the suggestion

Broker Logs
  • Display a summary of interesting broker sales metrics for each character: total receipts, most popular item, biggest spender and more
  • Drill down to view and sort individual purchases and sales in a spreadsheet format
  • Use the sales grid to calculate additional data such as average price paid for an item
  • Parse character's entire history or narrow the results for today, current week, past 12 months, etc.
Thanks to Suziekew for the idea. Thanks to Suziekew and Rosyposy for their very detailed testing and feedback

DarqUI Unified combines the best of DarqUI, DarqUI Live and EQ2Inventory into one, with some useful new features. Standard DarqUI users can now choose to make quick, permanent configuration changes right from the game screen while playing, as an alternative to loading up the external window utility. There is no longer a limit to the number of characters that can be customized, and many of the settings that were previously shared by all of your characters can now be configured for each character separately.

DarqUI Live users can take advantage of an all-new configuration app with features like Quick Setup, backup and restore, character and spell file maintenance, and a new lookup feature that queries Daybreak servers for spell lines and icons to use for your spell buttons. The DarqUI Unified configuration app has been rewritten from the ground up to provide all of the conveniences from the DarqUI Window Utility and the Live Updater. You will find many usability improvements and an uncluttered design that matches the familiar in-game window manager.

Large size windows DarqUI Unified offers larger-size versions of many windows to accommodate higher resolution monitors. Choose the size you prefer from the Updates page of the utility. These include Active Journal (quest helper), Casting Bar, Chat, Dissonance, Examine, Experience Bar, Group, Implied Target, Maintained Spell Monitor, Maintained Spells, Mercenary, NPC Spell Monitor, Pet, Player, Raid, Savagery, Target, Threat and Tracking. DarqUI windows that were already usable with higher resolutions include Detrimental Effects, Gear Buff Macros, Hotbars, Icon Bar and Spell Effects.

EQ2Inventory Track and search equipment, bags, bank, shared bank, house vault, Wardrobe contents, mount and Familiar collections and up to 9 houses, guild hall and player-made dungeons per character from the DarqUI Unified interface.

Chat Log Parser features keyword, category and date/time searches that recognize English, German and French log files. Use the preset category filters or build your own using regular expressions.

EQ2MAP integration Install and update the official EQ2MAP alongside DarqUI with a single click.

Help system Help files are now available for all DarqUI Unified windows and utility functions. Context-sensitive help information can be accessed externally from the window utility or from the window manager in-game. Use the new, more robust "Make default" feature on the Files page of the utility to set DarqUI as your default. This will prevent needing to use /loadui from the game window which crashes the awesomium browser.

Spell Suggestions There is a new French spell suggestion file in addition to German and English.

DarqUI Unified Notifications is a Windows tray icon that checks periodically for DarqUI and EQ2MAP updates. More information for setting up and using DarqUI_Notify can be found here. The app is optional, and is included in the download on this page.

Celestial and Dauntless potions are in the cure potion dropdown and being tested right now. They will be on the updater once that's done which should be very soon. Thank you for posting.

Concerning the xp bar it is very 'erradic'. This is my testing today:

1. character: XP bar size correct (798)
2. character: xp bar resized to 440. I used the Experience window in game to set size to 800 and saved.
3. character: 440. Saved it to 800 in game.
Back to 2. character: 800 (yay!)
Back to 3. character: 440 (bah). Saved to 800.
Back to 1. character: 798
Back to 2. character: 800
Back to 3. character: 800
4. character: 798
Back to 1. character: 798
Back to 2. character: 440
Back to 3. character: 440

So sometimes it seems to stick, but not always. Very odd.

For your info whenever it resizes back to 440 (I assume its 440 as its shrunk to about half the space that was used for the 800 size xp bar) the experience window always shows the saved value (798 or 800).

This should not be considered a solution, but open the XP bar file in Notepad (eq2ui_mainhud_experience.xml) and near the top change the line to read
<Data Name="1" Tag="BarWidth" Value="798" />
Would be curious to know what your results are with this change. I ran through several characters with every combination I could think of and my XP bar never chose the wrong width. But I know this is a recurring issue because there was another user a while back who had the same thing happening. If I can duplicate the problem I can fix it.

Another experiment: Run through your characters as you did above but use true fullscreen mode. I'd also be curious to know if this changes anything.

It always works great on first login, but often whenever I camp (in game) to another character the XP bar resizes to the default (400). When I open the Experience window in game it shows 798, but when I click on the part in the window where you can resize the XP bar it snaps (in the window) immediately to show 400.

Seldom it doesn't resize when I camp to another character so it is a bit random (but most times it resizes upon camping to the second character after entering the game - the first character of a session is always correct). But when it first has automatically resized to the default lenght (400) it stays at this lenght whenever I camp to another charater, including the character I loaded first, that initially had the correct lenght on the xp bar (798).

Audible countdown

Either by adding a default voice that counts down from 5 or allow us to add custom sound files?

I tried some things and the game kept crashing, but it turns out there was a problem on Daybreak's end causing it to crash. They say it's fixed now, so try the audible countdown file shown at the top of this page. I think it will do what you requested.

Thanks for the info. I"ll post that bug over on the EQ2 forums and see if I can get them to fix the issue on their side.

If you are only using the loginscene window to log in to the game initially, you won't have a problem. The old window only breaks after the multi-account camp list is used to switch characters.

The EQ2MAP issue may be with Windows Firewall since it's only happening on one of your computers. Also try going to the Updates page of the utility on that machine and change to the alternate download method using the blue link at the bottom. Downloads for EQ2MAP follow that setting.

Re: Re: Re: lost multi account log in option

I sometimes use the launchpad, however I have had some trouble logging in. I find my best workaround for that is to use the .exe file directly so I often just go ahead and log in that way. I'm using both the loginscene and the camp window with no issues. The loginscene is only used the very first time I log in, then it's the other one after that. I'm having a map issue I will post separately in a second, once I make sure it isn't my own fault.

Re: lost multi account log in option

I think I know what you're referring to. I never use the launcher, so I have kept the old file (eq2ui_loginscene.xml) so I could use the drop down from the .exe. That's what was deleted. Can you find it in your recycle bin? If not, maybe Darq has an old copy around he can give you so you can set it back up? Hope that helps you.

Since an update (and saying yes to it's safe to delete log in), I no longer get any option to change accounts, nor passwords saved.
Is there a way to get that back? Add a command somewhere? Login screen or something?
Thank you for your time (again)
