ProfitUI Reborn is now retired. Thank you gm9 for all your hard work and years of service to the EQ2 UI community. ProfitUI Catalyst is the next official incarnation of the great ProfitUI.

+ Seemlessly scale the effects icons on both the target window and/or the maintained effects window. You'll have to adjust the window sizes yourself if necessary, I felt it might obstruct too much screen space to have them expand automatically.
+ Scale the hotbar icons (works one hotbar at a time). Multiple functions to perfectly scale the hotbars. The window size will autmatically snap to its smallest possible size if you resize the window. Upscaling is done automatically.

Quest journal

Target window
+ If the selected target is another player, clicking on the target's name will inspect that player.

Implied target window
+ Clicking the implied target's name will make the implied target the current target (technically it /assists the current target)

Tradeskill Window
+ The tradeskill window is optionall expandable to show the recipes while crafting. Click the little icon on the title bar for this.
+ A power bar has been added to the tradeskill window
+ Most of the tradeskill window can be made transparent so you can see the tradeskill device through it

Experience window
+ Different stats bars selectable via window settings, "Frame and title"
* none: bar currently showing only run speed and status
* frame only: bar showing all experience types, vitality and debt as well as guild level and guild members online
* frame and titlebar: xp bar from above + stats bar as rollover effect
+ Achievement XP display plus available/total points

Player bar
+ Clicking the effects icons will launch the appropriate single cure spell if your toon has such a spell.
+ Auto attack indicator added (flashing sword icon)
+ Ranged auto attack indicator added (flashing bow icon - there's an issue with this, as it will actually flash both sword and bow)

Group Window
+ Clicking the effects icons will launch the appropriate single cure spell if your toon has such a spell.
+ Clicking on a group members name will /assist
+ Clicking the number besides your name will have you stop autofollowing (in case you did) and uses the /followme emote.
= in case you didn't know: clicking on the number besides a group members name will autofollow that person
+ hovering above the right side of a group members health bar will show an [x] icon to kick that member.
* the icon to leave the group besides your name was changed to only show on hovering over it as well.
- none of the above affects the alternative group window layouts

Pet window
* Buttons on pet window rearranged

Bottom bar
* Most stats that were formerly on the experience bar were moved to the bottom bar

Chat window

+ Button to open the socials window added to top left corner (autohides)

Socials window
+ Added the socials window from ThorUI with a number of changes - this was mainly done for the great sorting of emotes done there. I added (V) for voice emotes and rearranged some of them. The quick-chat tab was left in, although I find it rather useless. Comments?

Zoning screen
+ New mini zoning screen added, not covering your UI and allowing you to chat while you zone

Scaling
* Overall all UI windows should scale better in different resolutions. Even without a ui_settings file most windows should be well placed regardless of resolution (the only windows that don't obey yet are the compass and related windows)

Removed tooltip which was annoying when mousing over the window

Examine Window:
Added clickable area over item name that automatically searches for that item name on the broker if the market window is open

(idea taken from Zonx' Fetish)

Chat window:
I might have fixed the problem for those that could not move the chat window at all.

Tradeskill Window:
Stronger highlight color for the selected recipe

Memorized Window:
Moved the Haste display to the right end of the bar

Zoning Window:
Adjusted placement to be exactly centered

Timer window:
Updated to version 1.1.1 of Mother's Countdown Timer Window

Control Center:
Added option to open the broker window on the sell tab even when not at a broker. This allows you to check what you have on your

vendors or to check your sales log.
Several things to note:
- This only works after you have been to a broker at least once during your play session.
- Closing the broker window by clicking the [x] in the upper right corner sometimes causes the tabs to be hidden upon reopening

the broker window. You can avoid this by closing the window via the control center. If this happens, clicking on a broker will

reset the window.
- You can't change anything in the sell tab while not at a broker

Changelog 2.4-> 2.4.1 :

Large XP numbers in experience window changed to similar bitmap font to resolve placement issues that some were experiencing

[I'll put a complete changelog in later in a new thread. It's basically some bug fixes and the interface is finally compatible with all font settings (smooth and/or small)]

Added: Breath bar in ProfitUI style (contributed by lollygagger, thanks!)

Changelog 2.3-> 2.4 :

Renamed and deleted a number of files. It should be ok to just upgrade, but you'll have redundant files. Best delete your ProfitUI directory before upgrading.

Startbutton
FIXED: several buttons needed to be clicked twice to work
FIXED: Rendering distance would be set to maximum when logging ni

+ added expandable sliders for setting sound & music levels. If you don't use one of the included uisettings files, you'll need to unlock and then resize your startbutton window upwards to be able to see the the sliders. If you're done, lock again and enable clickthrough.
* consolidated the two shadow buttons into a single toggle button
* now a complex shader slider instead of separate buttons
+ shader & distance sliders show their current value in the tooltip

NOTE that the sliders won't be at the correct position when you log in, they'll just be at the leftmost position. This is just a visual issue, the values will be just as they were when you logged out.

Group + Player windows
FIXED: curing yourself repetively wouldn't work if you had a pet since the pet would be selected every second time.

Inventory
+ new default compact inventory window, based on Mooks Inventory window
- removed the optional "Geniva's Smaller Inventory"

Bank
+ new default compact bank window

Broker
FIXED: AppIV favorite not working

+ added My Tradeskill Class/Level button

KNOWN ISSUE: Using the last searches dropdown will sometimes crash the client.

Pet
* disband button is now placed at the height of the pet name when the titlebar is disabled

Target
FIXED: target effects would cover target name when using con_version 1

Implied Target
FIXED: clicking implied target didn't always select that target

* the unused black border at the right side has been put to good use

Clock
Clicking the round clock will open Mother's Countdown Timer Window. This is a rather nifty piece of coding. Check out Mother's post for instructions on how to use.

Experience
+ added optional experience window for use with smooth fonts + small fonts enabled provided by Graig Warder (thanks). Extract "_eq2ui_mainhud_experience for small_fonts.zip" to use. Note that this doesn't fix that the "wrong" font will be displayed.
+ added optional Slim Maintained window by Geniva (untested but reported to be working fine). Extract "_eq2ui_mainhud_maintained left slim.zip" to use. If you don't want to use it anymore, you'll need to delete the eq2ui_fonts.xml file manually.

ProfitUI Control Center
- removed hotbar resizing functionality from the control center
+ added button to open your bank slots whereever you are. This will open two "virtual" bags with your bank and shared bank slots. I didn't find a way to open the boxes in the bank automatically (the known commands won't work here), so you'll have to open each box manually (they'll open in their usual places). You can't take anything from the boxes or put things in there if you're not in a bank transaction, but you can, for example, link contents to other people or simply take a look yourself to remind you what's waiting for you there.

Milquetowst InfoCenter
* Updated to version 060426

Misc
* updated default uisettings files
- removed extra c&b uisettings file, this is the default file for 1280x1024 now

Fixed XP window variant 1 and remade it the default

Made hotkey bank selectors smaller.
Added _ProfitUI_BottomBar (No MouseOver).zip for those that don't like the mouse-over effect. Use "frame" and "frame&titlebar" to manually switch the displayed stats in this variant.

Updated default uisettings.ini for 1024x768 and 1280x1024 resolutions. Fixed some settings in the former file. The other default settings are not yet updated.

Inventory Window
FIXED the window for Lu25
ADDED a second layout option that is accessible by selecting "frame and titlebar". This option arranges the icons more vertically instead of horizontally in the old layout and also shows a paperdoll image in the middle.

Quest Helper
FIXED the timer display that was broken after LU25

Market Window
FIXED presets to work with LU25 and future updates as well as with foreign language installations
Added presets for recipe book based on a submission by AGAMEMN0N5.

Examine window
FIXED clicking on examined item to search in market window was not working

Chat Window
FIXED the window could move when changing the screen resolution several times

Experience Window
Fixed some tooltips that were switched around

Since the badly rounded XP numbers are apparently staying, I threw in two different variants of the XP window to cope with this.

Variant 1: The main XP display works as it currently does, the top XP bar uses the format AB.B'C, where AB is the XP integer number which is rounded up, B' is the 1st integer which is not rounded and C is the actual decimal. Where B and B' differ, you are seeing SOE's rounding. B' is the correct (unrounded) number. For example, if it shows 29.84, you really have 28.4 XP. If it shows 30.98, you really have 29.8
Variant 2: The top XP bar remains unchanged, and the main XP display is changed to use the format AB'.C . this means that the main XP display will actually be correct most of the time, but will be +10 too high for values of B'C higher than 9.4, and B' will actually be empty for values of B'C smaller than 10.

I hope this little explanation made any sense to you. There are .zip files called _eq2ui_mainhud_experience variant 1.zip and ... variant 2.zip so you can easily switch them around and see which one you're comfortable with (personally I'm using variant 2, when you install ProfitUI the default is variant 1 however).

Start Button Window
Removed the video settings sliders and the expandable sound sliders from the start button. Instead, two buttons for sound and video controls got added.

Clicking these will open NEW separate windows with sound respectively video controls. The latter got much enhanced over what was there before. The control windows are resizable which can be used to either hide parts of the controls or to arrange them differently within the window.

The video settings window includes four presets which I copied from Milquetowst InfoCenter. You can change the presets to your liking by editing the files _ProfitUI_VideoSettings_<Preset>.xml - there is also a readme with instructions which I mostly copied over from Milquetowst's InfoCenter as well.

Shutdown/Login Windows
ADDED new shutdown/login windows that allow to quickly switch to an unlimited number of characters/accounts/servers. Edit the file _ProfitUI_LoginData.xml to enter your login data if you want to use this functionality. Please note the checkbox on the shutdown window which you will have to uncheck if you want to switch to a different account (you will notice that logging into a different account takes a little "detour").
IMPORTANT: Switching to different accounts currently only works if you start the game via everquest2.exe instead of via the patcher (eq2.exe).

Persona Window
The stats page of the Persona window (P) was amended with a number of otherwise invisble stats, for example chances on critical hits, etc.

Effects window
Removed the space between the effects icons to reduce the overall window size

Changelog 2.5.5 -> 2.6:

General
+ Created new default UI settings files for a large number of resolutions. These are all based on the default layout shown in the screenshot and are free of preset channel information. I hope these work, since I was working blind (my screen only shows 1280x1024)
+ Fixed/changed the clickthrough functionality for some windows. Unfortunately, this was not possible for quest helper window (it would no longer be scrollable) and the raid window.
+ If you get a blackscreen crash on your ATI card or if you simply don't like the unsmoothed fonts in the XP window, you can extract _Fonts smooth (XP window).zip in your ProfitUI directory to switch to smooth fonts. You might get alignment issues.
* Updated Milquetowst Infocenter to version 060621

Market Window
FIXED a few issues like drag'n'drop not working or search not working after you had automatically searched for items in your store
FIXED the My Class/Lvl functionality for Paladins
+ The My Class/Lvl functionality no longer displays decimals
+ You can now change the level range that the market window uses for the My Class/Lvl functionality by editing the file _ProfitUI_Market_LevelRanges.xml
+ searching for items in your store will now insert the item name in item search box
+ Market window is now expandable (default) with buy and sell tabs side-by-side. You can permanently switch between both modes by changing the frame and titlebar options or temporarily switch by hitting the appropriate button in the window's titlebar. Note that resizing the compact version will not save between sessions.
+ Buy stack/quantity buttons are now always visible on the buy and sell pages
+ The first favorites dropdown (rares) is now completely LU24 compatible
+ The third favorites dropdown (containers) should now contain all craftable containers and shows their slot size

Chat Window
Added an area in the lower right corner which you can grab to move your chat window if you have "clickthrough" enabled for chat windows in the options (Alt-O). If you don't have that option set, you can grab the window almost everywhere.

Group Window
All alternate group windows now contain the same functionality as the default group window. There are the following variants:

Vertical (default)
Vertical compact
Horizontal
Horizontal compact

They are now found in .zip files in you ProfitUI directory for easy installation.

Raid window
The raid group title bars which are enabled by setting "frame only" mode will now only show if appropriate, i.e. for your two group raid you will no longer see the bars for groups 3 and 4.

Player Window
FIXED a bug with the AFK button that did reset your AFK message to "true". Doh. Please make sure to set a new AFK message by typing /afk <message>.

Experience Window
FIXED some font and wrapping issues and a bug that did not make one stat bar resizeable on very wide resolutions

Target/Implied Target Windows
FIXED (hopefully) an issue where the target health percentage display was hidden on some systems
FIXED a display issue that occured when the target was mentored.

Maintained window
FIXED: The optional frame now displays correctly

Clock
Reduced the size of the round day/night display

Bottom Bar
Haste was moved to the right side of the bottom bar

Player Window
+ Added AFK, LFG, and LFW indicators
+ Added AFK, LFG, and LFW invisible buttons located over the "Self" area. You will get an appropriate tooltip when your mouse is over each button.

The war is over! In an earth shattering battle the smooth fonts faction did end up whining louder than the correct alignment faction, and the opportunist that I am, I betrayed to the winning team.
All windows except for the experience window have been reverted back to smoothed fonts.

Clock window:
In preparation of Germany's soccer team winning the world cup 2006, the clock window has now got the most important Germany setting, mistitled in game as "frame & titlebar". This setting will reposition the displayed time to a position so will (hopefully) display correctly when playing on German language servers. In an effort to make this accessible to everyone, our time is still labeled "Earth" and not "Germany".
Thanks Taxor for linking me a post by Tinu where I found an example working on German servers. Let me know if this still needs tweaking, as I can't test it.

Market window
* Your sudden wealth of 9999 plat is gone. You were accidentally seeing my bank account there anyway.
* Some minor fixes.

Experience Window
FIXED an issue where the top bar was hidden in certain configuratoins
* The window can now freely be expanded in all directions (as before, you can of course also minimize it to as little as the XP/stats bar)
Placement of large decimals adjusted
- Achievement decimals removed from large XP display as well

Player window:
FIXED clicking on implied target will now correctly select this target
* The effects panel should once again display correctly for everybody
* The "Frame and titlebar" setting now also controls the display of the label "Self"

Chat window:
FIXED: the [x] button is working again and once again auto-hides

- Hiding the shortcut keys by setting frame to "none" did not save (and I found no way to make it save). Settings therefore changed to:
None / Frame only: no bank selectors, shortcut keys displayed according to frame opacity settings
Frame & titlebar: bank selectors displayed on mouse-over, shortcut keys displayed according to frame opacity settings
Default UI setups
+ Added default .ini file for 1920x1200 contributed by angelindisguise (Thanks!)
* Changed default state of some settings in the 1280x1024 file so new users see the maximum of options.

I'm having trouble with the experience window.

It's now saying I am .9 into next level, but I did not level after it passed 100% anyone else having this problem?

Does it have anything to do with LU24?

I had this problem. when I finally dinged 1.2%, it dinged me to the next level. just keep grinding (or try to get some discovery XP as this is what I did) and you should ding

Quest helper window

I love the new feel of the UI overall, but have just one problem with it... it seems the quest helper window in 1280 x 1024 (not sure about the other resolutions) only displays the title of the quest you currently have selected. This really isn't a problem except that I tend to like seeing what the next step in the quest is without having to open the journal.. I have tried removing/adding the frames, resizing the window, and even changing the opacity and nothing.. can ya give me a clue on how to fix this or what .xml file it would be in so I can make my own attempt? thanx for all of your hard work on this project.. you diserve all the props you get for it!!

Great UI. I like the layout and all, but one problem that I've noted.

I do not know if this is your UI or if this is SOE, since I haven't checked this out with other UIs, but I have noticed that the XP displayed is not correct and is corrected (usually downward) when more is earned.

This makes it hard to follow and figure out just how much XP is needed to ding the next level, and if I am fighting a goup of mobs and expecting a mini-ding, only to see the XP go down, is frustrating. I am going to check out another UI to see if this is a problem with your UI or with SOE's transmitting of XP.

actually, its not the extra XP that is required. I think SOE is not transmitting the proper XP amounts from the servers (or else a programming SNAFU) and results in a the XP getting jumbled up. I have personally seen it where I have something like 48.7% and then the next bit of XP I get I have 48.3%. no, that is not a typo. I have actually seen that happen on more than one occasion (and it is not just around the middle of a level, I have seen it at the beginning, middle, end, and everywhere inbetween)

But I have verified (by using a different UI) that it is NOT ProfitUI, and is infact SOE and EQ2. right now its just all goofy as hell, and no clue when it will be fixed (yes, I have submitted a /bug report).

Top bar displaying different info on different systems

First off I love the UI. I do have a question that I cant seem to figure out. On my friends system, it shows all his experience types on the top bar on the left. However mine shows run speed, regen %, weight... Why do we show different things? How can they be changed?


Note: If I hit F10 it will show the dark boxes, as well as change to the exp types. If my friend hits F10 he gets dark boxes but his doesnt change. Very strange....
