Installation Notes:
- How To: Install A Custom UI
- DragoHUD.dds goes in your CustomUI/images/ folder.
- eq2ui_custom_dragowulfui_dragohud.xml goes in your CustomUI folder.
- _DragowulfUI_DragoHUDSettings.txt goes in your CustomUI folder.
- Open _DragowulfUI_DragoHUDSettings.txt and change the values to your desired settings.
- If you do not have eq2ui_custom.xml, copy it from your EverQuest II/UI/Default folder and paste it in your CustomUI folder.
- Open the file with a text editor and replace all text with:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Page IgnoreTab="false" ismodule="true" Name="Custom" PackSize="1,1" PackSizeProp="0002/0003,0002/0003" ScrollExtent="1024,768" Size="1024,768" Visible="false">
<include>eq2ui_custom_dragowulfui_dragohud.xml</include>
</Page>
- If you already have eq2ui_custom.xml, open it with a text editor and add the following line:
Code:
<include>eq2ui_custom_dragowulfui_dragohud.xml</include>
- It will then look something like this (make sure the line you're adding is the line under the second line of eq2ui_custom.xml and not on the last line of the .xml):
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Page IgnoreTab="false" ismodule="true" Name="Custom" PackSize="1,1" PackSizeProp="0002/0003,0002/0003" ScrollExtent="1024,768" Size="1024,768" Visible="false">
<include>eq2ui_custom_dragowulfui_dragohud.xml</include>
</Page>
** WARNING: Please verify that you correctly followed the Installation Notes above, otherwise several issues will occur.

Don't think it does. Another Fetish user here.

This should work with Fetish. Read the installation instructions.

I don't use Fetish myself, but it should work.

These are the instructions I followed:

----------------------------------------------
INSTALLATION GUIDE:

1). Put all .dds files in the Images folder into your custom UI Images folder

--------------------

2). Put all the .xml files into your Custom UI directory

--------------------

3). Open up your eq2ui_custom.xml file with notepad and add the line:

<include>eq2ui_custom_dragoHUD.xml</include>

***NOTE: If you don't have eq2ui_custom.xml copy/paste one from your Default ui folder***

--------------------

****If you follow these steps carefully than it will work****
----------------------------------------------

I originally tried installing this before I posted as it looks like it would be really cool... I threw the .dds in the images folder and put the xml in the ui folder. I then edited the the custom.xml and added the line of text posted above. I have never added anything to the custom.xml before, and have always added lined like that to the mainhud.xml. Any idea what I did wrong. Just a question and I am no programmer but why the editing of the different files. ie: custom.xml instead of mainhud?

thanks for any help...

Hmm...

The only other thing I can think of for now is that your Clock's frame opacity is set to 0.

For now I'd recommend putting your Clock's frame opacity up till I get my next major beta update up. If it doesn't work I will install Fetish and try myself.

The Clock's frame opacity is the opacity that my HUD runs off of for now, if the Clock's opacity is 0, then the HUD's opacity will be 0 and you will not see a thing. That is a temporary solution to figuring out what you want your opacity to be.

Well, the graphics do come up and I can see it, but thats all they do. Always stay at full. No worries. This is beta and I'll keep poking with it everytime I see an update.

Sounds like there is something wrong when the HUD is used by a fetish user. Must be something with the dynamic data. I'll check it out and post my response as soon as I can. (I'm at work right now)

On the Fetish tangent, I tried the HUD with my FetishNightfall installation and the HUD was visible and static from the moment the splash screen loaded and during the character selection. It then disappeard after my character was added to the word.

Didn't have an opportunity to work with it though to see what was up.

Interesting how it's doing that with Fetish only. When I get home I will install Fetish and check it out.

really like that - any chance that the power/health bars could be made slightly thinner? say 70-80% of the width of the current bars?

Unfortunately no (at least for now)...but you can change opacity via the Clock's frame opacity (temp. solution).

Later I will allow you to change the opacity/visibility of the bars and the frames individually. That's why it's beta though.
