DraqUi Live - Install

I presently use DraqUI and would like to switch to DraqUI Live. Can I install Live right over my present install?

Love it but.....

Great UI but I wish there was a little more documentation on how to use everything because there are some things that still baffle me

Re: Tradeskill Window Sounds

If I hate the sound I picked I have to shut down the game and try again. I'm using the falling "splat" at the moment but it's not quite what I want yet, so I'll keep experimenting.

Sigrdrifa, the standard DarqUI window utility does not have game sound samples since it would require recording them externally or extracting the sound data from DBG files which I believe is a copyright violation. (Screenshots are allowed which is why I can include spell icons, borders and such in the utility.)

Two workarounds:

1) The DarqUI Live interface has preview buttons for all customizable sounds in the UI. All configuration is done from within the game via the Window Manager. You can easily try out DarqUI Live without disturbing your DarqUI installation. The only downside is that you have to set up your spell icons on group/raid windows for each character without the help of Quick Setup.

2) If you are using the standard DarqUI, you can sample the various sounds from the Tagging/Spell Monitor window (Shift+Ctrl+T). On the Spell Monitor options menu there is a dropdown with quite a few sounds and a test button.

Minor price popup bug

A minor bug: the pricing popup window spinners assume that you won't be using more than 99 plat. That spinner probably needs to go to 9999 plat now the way prices are.

Most DarqUI Live windows have a blue gem button that will open the window manager for customizing. The gem will either be on the window frame or visible by mousing over the upper part of the window. Once the window manager is open you can switch between the various windows from the dropdown box at the top.

In the DarqUI Live Updater app, skip all files except Maintained Spell Monitor, Tagging/Spell Monitor, and Window Manager. Download those three files into your custom UI folder. In game you can open the Spellcast Monitor using Shift+Ctrl+T. The Maintained Spell Monitor will already be visible. There is a blue gem button at the top of each window that opens the window manager for customizing. Mouse over the upper left-hand corner of the Maintained Spell Monitor to see the blue gem.

Any trick to get it to stick?

You can add DarqUI_Live to your eq2.ini file as shown here which should make it stick between logins. If this doesn't work, post back here or send me a PM on this website. There are several possible reasons why loadui might be required each time you log in.

Downloading eq2ui_popup_setprice.xml
Downloading DarqUIspellsDE.csv

is their another way to get this files?

thanks

Betamark_H and Betamark_V are no longer downloaded by the newer utility versions. Choose the version you want from the Updates tab (gear icon on the Maintained Spell Monitor line) and the utility will download and rename the correct file. If you still have eq2ui_mainhud_betamark_H.xml and eq2ui_mainhud_betamark_V.xml in your DarqUI folder, you can safely delete those.

For the other files, go to the Settings tab and check the box for the alternate download method. Larger files like the raid window will often download more reliably with it. Post back here if you are still having trouble.
