Just press enter functionality added to the loot, lotto, set price, trade, zoneing, and death windows. It should work with just about any UI, including those who use pieces from many different UI's. Let me know if you have any problems.

Made a smaller version of the trade window. It is now the default trade window for this package. The regular size trade window is included as well. A couple of other few minor updates.

Compatability issue corrected with a few windows.

All the files remain the same as the 11/21/2006 update. Only difference is the tracking window was added to this set. Thanks goes out to Landiin for the window. I used his stand alone tracking window and modified it for just press enter functionality with his blessing.

All windows have been fixed except tracking and the set price window. The tracking window is a bit more extensive problem which will require more time to resolve the issues with. The set price window is now perminantly removed from this mod because of compatability issues with the broker window and the way the window works, it is just inpractical to use just press enter functionality on.
IMPORTATANT: If you have a previous version of either of the trackinng window or the set price window from the "Just Press Enter LU#" I highly suggest you delete it from your ui folder. The file names are eq2ui_mainhud_tracking.xml and eq2ui_popup_setprice.xml

Added just press enter functionality to the tracking, invitiation to duel, join group, join raid, join guild, find npc, lore item looting, destroy Item, attune item, change last name, change rank name, reward pack, window settings, and many more.
Special thanks to Hinton for pointing out the name of the choice window... I couldn't find it anywhere. 
As always, If anyone runs across a window they would like added to this package just let me know and I will do my best to track it down and add it.

I love you! I don't know how to do this stuff much at all, and wanted an updated set of loot all windows for the new SoE Blue Gold Theme. Can you also do the Choice & Housing windows?

and the first time you try to type something as someone loots a chest and you push enter on a fabled no-trade item you cant use but someone in your group could you will regret this feature..this is the one feature I delete from the custom ui's I use.

maybe make it a different key? not enter which is used frequently for chat...
maybe make it like Ctrl or the - key on the number pad

You are correct in your reasoning that enter key is not for all. That is why it is part of a seperate upload from a UI. I personally do not use the enter key for chat. Rather I do not have anything set for chat. I use the / key to initiate chat /g /say /emote /ooc you know good ole eq1 style. So this mod is still quite useful for those that do not use enter. the / key is less of a stretch for the ole pinky anyways  |

Unfortunately I have no plan for changing the key, if it can even be done. I have used this method since release and intend on keeping it this way. |

I just finished these but have not had a chance to test them, and it's late here but if you want to try them out and let me know if they are working correctly I would appreciate it. I have added the Zoneing, trade, death, and set price windows to the zip.

You can change your default key to press to 'start' chatting, but I myself also have not used Enter to start any chats. I use the / commands because to me it's just easier. I like to slap the enter key quickly when in a big group and lots of mobs are dropping and folks keep looting during battle, I don't want to move my mouse over, just slap the enter and keep fighting works for me.

I have not added just press enter to the lore item window mainly because I can't find which one it is. If I come across it I will add it. I checked the choice window and I'm pretty sure that's not it. |

I made the modifications to the Choice window and it worked. It's the 'general' window used for Yes / No, Ok / Cancel, Find NPC, Destroy / Cancel windows. Found all kinds of popups using that thing. I'm killing stuff now to try to double-check to make sure it's the Lore one also.

No offense, really, but this mod is an accident waiting to happen! I just want to press enter to loot - not to join guilds by mistake, or revive, trade or anything else that might happen if Im not careful and the window pops up while Im typing (and pressing enter).
Because of that I give this mod an "F".

Ive downloaded and tested this mod now on friday and saturday, and every time I die (which doesnt happen that often, but still) its of course in the heat of battle. I try to say something to my teammates, and instead I end up with this mod auto clicking revive for me.
Can you please (pretty please) change this so I have to use my mouse to revive? Its a feature that is anti-social and not in accordance with normal teaming. It shouldnt be necessairy for me to have my enter button destroyed like this.
If its not possible, can someone please direct me to a mod that only has enter-to-loot? I dont want all this other stuff.

If all you wanted was the loot. Then only use the eq2ui_inventory_loot.xml. The mod it's self does everything it was designed to and works perfectly. Because you disagree with the way it functions does not make it worthy of an F. It's comment's like this that discourage interface authors from even bothering submitting their mods for others to use. |

Im sorry if I hurt your feelings, it was not my intention. However, you could perhaps explain how to use it to just loot?
And you should agree that pressing enter to revive is perhaps a bit overboard? Unless this mod is made for handicapped people who cant use their mouse, then it would be better to use the mouse for this so you dont accidentally split the group up (by someone reviving when not needed). It's happened many times for me, and you as an author can either take my critique in a positive or negative way. I'm just being frank about my experiences with this mod. Good idea in theory, but works bad for me in-game. |
