Description

NOW UPDATED FOR RENEWAL OF RO.

I was annoyed because my various predefined filters in the tradeskill window were all scrambled up, so I took the time to carefully restructure the filter file, eq2_recipe_filter.vdl

To install, first rename your existing file to eq2_recipe_filter_backup.vdl - this is a good practice any time you make changes.

Then simply unzip the downloaded file into your EQ2 directory, probably somewhere such as C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II

The filters include, in order:

Renewal of Ro (TS sig line, researcher missions)
Adornment & Tinkering Writs (from Londiar Inygad at your tradeskill headquarters)
Apprentice Equipment (for your tradeskill apprentices)
Shipwrecked (all the items you learn to craft doing the Shipwrecked! Timeline)
Far Seas Mission Recipes (the weekly and group missions from Mara and Isle of Refuge)
Mount Gear (RoR)
Adornments
White Adornments (RoR 125)
Notebooks
Tinkering
Holiday: Brewday
Holiday: Bristlebane's Perfectly Serious
Holiday: Erollisi Gifts
Holiday: Frostfell

EDIT 12.2 - Updated a few recipe book names for the Renewal of Ro tradeskill sig line as the names changed

EDIT 12.1 - Added Renewal of Ro recipes

EDIT: 12.0 - Added Visions of Vetrovia Recipes

EDIT: 11.12 - Added more research mission recipes.

EDIT:11.11 - Fixed typo.

EDIT 11.0 - Added Reign of Shadows recipes -- NOTE: Two Requisition recipes cannot be added because the title have quotations in the recipe name. Additional recipes will be dropping as rewards that were not surfaced in beta, and will need to be added sometime soon after RoS goes live.

EDIT 10.0 - Corrected Channeler recipe search. H/t to Gerak

EDIT 9.9 - Added more mount tack recipes identified by Gerak

EDIT 9.8 - Added a bunch of missing recipes here and there identified by Rosyposy.

These recipes are included (you can verify by right-clicking on the file name and selecting "edit" then searching or scrolling down).

On my copy of the old filter, I have added these:

Added to "Apprentice Equipment"
"Recipe: A Sturdy Boiled Apron"

Apparently the last upload didn't get the newest version. I have corrected this, and the download now definitely has the version with Kunark Ascending stuff in it!

Did Something Change?

Hi!

Thanks for updating this. My list was lo9okng pretty bad too so this it terrific!

Here's the thing tho: I can't edit the file and have the changes show in game. I used to always be able to change and add the various new items with no issues. Now, it's just not seeing them. I am baffled as to what could be happening, except that the file is now being read from some other location.

Very frustrating. Any ideas on what I might try?

EDIT: Actually, the news is much worse. I have no other copy of this file on my computer, however the new one keeps being overwritten by an old one I had. I have deleted it before adding yours, etc. but it is still there when I log out. Any idea how this could happen? Is the file somewhere else in the game memory? This is Windows 10, the most recent update.
