Xndienx's G15 Mod

Released March 19, 2008

Page 1 (Main page/first thing you see): Character Name/Guild instead of EverQuest II and Sony Online Entertainment
Page 2: Version 4.1 - Voice Chat
Page 3: Network Stats
Page 4: XP Bars
Page 5: Guild Xp, Personal status, Personal status
Page 6: Old Page 4 (stats)
Page 7: Resists
Page 8: Old Page 5 (Group)
Page 9: Weapon damage spreads and delays
Page 10: Caster/Healer goodness
Page 11: Melee/Ranged Goodness
Page 12: Earth and Norrath time with Zone Name
Page 13: Earth and Norrath time with Region Name
(Version 3) Page 14: Pet Name, HP, Power
(Version 3) Page 15: Target Name, HP, Power
(Version 3) Page 16: Self/Pet/Target HP/Power
(optional Maintained version)
Page 17-46: Maintained Spell Information: Name of the spell, Target, Duration, and Remaining ward/charges/whatever comes out of the remaining dynamicdata )


Comments, Questions, Requests, and Constructive Criticism are welcomed, as this is my first mod

Version 4.2 - Fixed a few bugs with ranged weapon damage spread and AE autoattack/Double attack stuff.

Changed the HP/Power percent to the actual values

Version 4.1 Moved the voice chat page. All you need to do to access it now is hit the 2nd button under your LCD.

Version 4 added the voice chat page (GU47)

Version 3.0 Added 3 new pages (see above)

Version 2.0a: Added a G15 Profile file for EQ2. Right click this file and click import to import it into your keyboard profiler.

There's also a .pdf that shows the key mapping that i used.

These files are in the G15_Profile folder

Version 2.0: Changed the heading of the time page to be the zone or region name, depending on which page you choose. If you choose the region page, it doesnt show the zone name if you aren't in a region of a zone that pops up on your screen :/

DPS always shows as zero "0"
Everything with this mod works great, EXCEPT DPS.

All in-game stats show fine on my G13 LCD EXCEPT the damage per second (DPS) is always listed as zero "0".

Any ideas?

Cool Re: Instructions
Follow the easy steps.. worked like a charm for me!

1) Extract the folder called [G15_Profile]. I did a Desktop/temp folder.
2) Open up the Logitech G-series Key-Profiler.
3) Go to Profile-> Import
4) Track down the extracted folder [G15_Profile] and choose Everquest2 (orange) or Everquest2 (blue) depending on which one you got
5) Click Open, and there you go continue to Xndienx´s link: http://www.eq2interface.com/portal.p...a=faq&faqid=71

Stumped.
I followed the "instructions" to install this and was entirely unable to get it to work.

It looks like you spent quite a bit of time developing it and I'm completely baffled by the fact you didn't spend ANY time explaining how to install it.

I put the XML file in the customui folder I created, created the .ini file (the lines in your post example were reversed from the EQ2Interface instructions, so I tried both ways), then right-click imported the .lgp file.

The result is always the default EQ2 profile.

I might be able to conjure something up, but given the limited space of the G15 screen it won't be pretty.

I can probably do something like 5-6 rows of a clipped Spell/CA name, Duration, and Target.

is there a way to get a page that displays how long a spell effect is going to last based on a target? Like i play a necro and its handy to have the timers of my dots on a particular target easily accessible.

The Double and AE Attack detection is kinda messed up.
Playing live on German Server, dunno if language can cause this issue though.

I'd like to see a hard number posted for the amount of power I have, rather than just the percentage, if that wouldn't be too much trouble. BTW this interface is awesome, love it with the new keyboard.

I figured it would be easier to find it at the back (hit the first or 2nd button (not in game atm so i dont know offhand) then hit the 3rd (Previous button) 1 or 2 times.

Why can you not just change the page for voice chat for the maintained version to page 16? Its going to be annoying to scroll through that many pages just to get to it.

I use ProfitUI so i can confirm that it does work with it.

Pull one of the eq2ui_mainhud_g15.xml files out of the folders, and drop them into your ProfitUI folder.

Since Profit doesn't have a custom G15 mod, it shouldn't get overwritten by the auto-updater.

Edit: you may also want to update your G15 drivers if you haven't since the end of December
