First and foremost, this file *only* works if you're using EQ2MAP. (And if you're not, you should be!) I would have uploaded it specifically as an add-on, but couldn't find a way to do so.

The main change I've made is that I've reduced the size of the PoI icons, which helps to reduce the appearance of overwhelming "clutter" in some zones. I've also replaced the player and group member icons with those from Ger's "Alternate PoI Icons" set. (The arrow marking your own location now clearly points in the direction you're facing.) Finally, I've reduced the size of the "X" that marks your tracking target, if you're a scout, or your selected waypoint, no matter who you are.

The download contains just one file, the "images/icons/icon_map3.dds" file. Simply replace the one you already have in your UI folder with the one in the download. If you decide you don't like the changes, after all, just delete the file, and EQ2MAP will automatically restore the default version for you.
