Game Update #65 Compatible
Description:
This modifies the maintained window to display time remaining at the top of each icon, as well as procs/ward amount remaining in the bottom right of each icon. Right-clicking the window and Hiding/Showing text will change the window from Icon-Only mode to Icon + Details mode. Right clicking the window and enabling the Titlebar will change the window to Right-Aligned icons mode.
* Note: the text looks much clearer and colored in-game than in the screenshots here.
Installation Notes:
- How To: Install A Custom UI
- eq2ui_mainhud_maintained.xml goes in your CustomUI folder.
Update Log:
2012.11.13
- Updated for CoE to include Stacks counters.
2011.07.13
- Click-to-cancel overlays have been given a color and are now closer to 50% of the icon.
2011.01.25
- Now supports mouse scrolling
2010.11.28
- now supports right click menu "Hide/Show Text" to toggle modes
- width of data is wider than before when in expanded view
- changed "amount remaining" font style to fit larger numbers (large wards)
- enabling/disabling the Titlebar in window options now swaps window between left & right aligned modes (variant window now obsolete)
2010.08.23
- Icons can now be clicked to cancel maintained buffs. The top 2/3rds is the button (shows a tootlip) and the bottom 1/3rd shows the normal icon tooltip. Updated for both versions.
2010.08.18

- Alternative right-sided-icons version now included in zip
2008.10.14

That was my first thought when creating it. With no simple way of being able to toggle (next to an always visible button), I will release an update for this soon that will include left and right-side versions
Thanks for the feedback

I would second this, a right-side version would be the perfect replacement for my current UI mod (one with titles for right-side, but without the timers/ward amounts etc)

I like this feature, it's certainly worth having in any UI.
However, you may think this wierd but I rarely have my Maintained Spells window visible, prefering instead to make full use of the Spell Effects Window. The reason for this is that timed spells such as the Fury's Enduring Breath spell do not register in the Maintained window, but do appear in the Spell Effects window, and all of the spells that appear in the Maintained Window appear in the Spell Effects Window anyway. It would therefore appear that the Spell Effects window would be more effective to have permanently visible, at least when soloing. In a group situation, I can see the need to have the Maintained Window up also.
Is there any chance of you writing a similar mod for the Spell Effects Window, and let's go the whole hog and also ask for a similar mod for the Detrimental Spell Effects window too? I've explained above why I think the Spell Effects Window should have a similar look. As for the Detrimental Spell Effects, I often get into the situation where I have a Detrimental Spell on me, but because it's icon only, and I don't have time to hover the mouse over the icon to see what the spell is, I'm always second guessing myself as to whether it's worth casting Cure now, or can I wait until I get my next DoT or DD off and then cast Cure. With some PvP Detrimental Spells, I want to get rid of em as soon as possible, but others I can leave a few seconds, enabling me to cast my DoT / DD / Stifle etc before the Cure. With a similar mod for the Detrimental Spell Effects , I'd have a text indication of what the spell is, thus enabling me to make the appropriate decision about Cure now / Cure Later or Run Like Hell.
Sorry for the long post, I love your UI Mods. I'm at a loss to decipher .xml files to have a go at modding myself, so I rely on the excellent work of people like yourself to help out.
Regards

No prob on the long post.
To make a short answer, it's not possible to duplicate this mod for the Effects or Detrimental window. The data is not available, though we have requested it several times.

Not sure if you know about this little bug but some of the words are cut off on the right side when you have it set to view the icon text. Look at screen shot for an example.
Like the buff Voice of the Tyrant(Brownish coin looking buff) the word is cut off a little on the right. As well as several other icon texts.
Some reason the insert pic is not working atm. Here is a direct link.

The pic hosting site does not hold the original image size very well. here is another link:

The reason for this is because each buff gets it's own box, and the window can be display horizontally as well as vertically (or in any rectangular manner). Word wrapping would take up too much space, so the next best thing is to just have it cut off the words...
If you resize your window a bit horizontally you'll see what I mean. Making each icon's page big enough to display really long names would just take up too much space.

Maintained Effects Text
Since Gu50 / TSO went live today, I can't seem to get the text of each spell in the Maintained window to show. It was fine before the update, and I did absolutely nothing to the UI folder to change anything, but after patching GU50 and logging in, the icons and timers display fine, but the text description for each Maintained spell is missing.
I've gone into Window Settings for the Maintained Window, and changed the Frame to None, Frame Only and Frame and Title, but it has no effect. For some reason the spell descriptions won't display.
Am I the only one with this problem, and if so , can you hypothesise on a fix ? I've done nothing between logging off, patching GU50 and logging back on again to warrant this problem, and it's stumping me completely.
Any help is appreciated

Not yet. Trying to figure out what needs to be fixed to make it work as it did pre-TSO.

Love the counters for my wards and reactive heals, great addon, i just have 2 questions.
1) I run another addon that changes the icon size, is there a way I can point this addon to those files, so the size matches my effects window?
and
2) Is there a way to change the orientation? Meaning: This does left to right, top to bottom, as a fill order. I would like to make it fill from right to left, bottom to top. Is this possible?
