Well at long last I have finally finished my group window to match my other interface pieces. (I guess I should put out a compilation
)
Well my window has many of the same features as everyone else.
I think the click to cure works. At least it does for my low level healer. I guess you guys will have to let me know.
I tried to put as much information in as little room as I could with out being redundant. Starting in the top left you have a color coded F# label. If you click on the F2 you can change it to the icons use in EQ2Map. (If you don't have it GET IT. I mean it is most likely the single most useful mod ever.) Next of course you have the character name.
On the next row you have the Archetype icon. I couldn't find a way to make it come up automatically, but with a mouse over it will up date the window and they'll show up. Next is the Health and Power bars. (Warning, I've changed the graphic in the Window_elements_HR.dds file so if you have any of my other interface pieces that have health and power bars they might not look right any more. Not to worry I'm going to up load new versions of them.)
On the last line you have two boxes. The first box shows the level, but when you mouse over it you'll see two buttons. The first button is an auto-follow button and the second is the chat button. The chat button starts a private chat with that group member. This feature is in several of the other MMORPGs that I have played so I wanted to add it here. But I couldn't get it to quite work the way I wanted so I posted on the forums here. And as I suspected when I let the cat out of the bag someone else snatched up the idea. And here I wanted to be the first to market. But then again maybe one of the big UIs like Fetish or eXtremeUI already had it.
The next box contains the class of the group member and it is also where the click to cure icons show up. So no blank wasted space. And yes I know that some of the class names are to long for the box. There are always trade offs.
After months of thinking and tinkering this is what I've come up with. I do hope find it as useful as I do.

I think I have finally cracked the archetype icon problem. The problem has always been getting the archetype icon to appear automatically. Well the way I did it was when a person joins the group and their stats appear I have the group window toggle off and then when the group window closes I have an OnHide toggle the group window back on. So you might see a flicker in the group window when someone joins. The one drawback is that you can never close the group window, because when you try it will just turn it self back on again.

Why version 2? Well as you can see I changed the group window to more closely match my Player, Pet, Target and Implied Target windows. I've also added several more features.
Well first there is the removal of the weird "can't turn off the group window" thing I had to do to get the archetype icons to show up. With the addition of the OnTextChanged command, a lot of things became a lot easier.
Two the most obvious change is the addition of the health and power percents. And as with the my Player window if you click on the number it changes to show the current heath and power amounts. One problem with that is that if you have 5 digits of health or power the amount shows up a little truncated. My choices are to make the window bigger or the font smaller. I don't really want to do either, but if it is a reall problem for a lot of you I'll think about changing it.
You might also notice a new icon in the group window. This icon controls whether you see the third line of information or not. I figured that not everyone is interested in seeing the effects icons or the pet info stuff and just wants the group window to take up the least amount of space. The icon controls the third line for all the group members. On the other hand if you click on the archetype icon you toggle the third line for just that group member. And by the way it changes the size of each group members pane so the third line isn't just invisible.
And finally I added the voice chat icon by the character name.
For the most part all the other features that were in the old version are still here. Click to Cure (which should now work better), Chat with member, and Follow member all still work.

Well lets try this on for size. This is Drumstix42's solution to the Click to Cure problem. Well let me know if it works.

Third times the charm? I made a very small change. In the Player Window each C2C command ended with "; target_previous" and the group window command that I got from Drumstix42 ended with "
target_previous". Since the only part that doesn't seem to be working is changing the target back and it does work in my player window I changed it to match the Player window. Well guys let me know how it works.

Okay, please let this be right. The big break in the C2C seems to be the target previous. One thing that Veskandar brought up was that the autofollow wasn't working. That got me thinking that maybe anything on the Effects page doesn't change your target to the groupmember. So I made a bit of a change to the autofollow and removed the target previous from the C2C. Well guys give it a try and let me know.
If this works you can thank Veskandar for his persistence.
