Personally I have never tried to do it before, so it's possible that the files for some reason are being ignored in the custom ui folder
But I'm not positive on that one!
You may want to make a topic and maybe some others who have tried can chime in on that one mate.

Thanks for answering.

If you're saying that the patcher is redownloading them, that means you are trying to edit them while they are still in the default UI folder, yes?
What I meant by copy them over, is copy the files from default into your Custom UI folder, or DrumsUI folder whatever it may be, and then edit them there.

If i copy the images in the deafult ui/images/loadscreen/random folder everything is fine til next time i use the updater.
If i copy the pictures in my custom ui/images/loadscreen/random folder it seems that this folder is being ignored and the mod is still using the pictures from "deafult ui/images/loadscreen/random"
is there any way to set the "custom ui/images/loadscreen/random" as mainfolder for the random loadscreens ? Any chance to avoid any of the images in the default random folder ?

Anything modified in the default UI folder will always be patched back over by the sony updater.
Hope that helps.

I could remove the "Tips" text... but why?

That would be cool, cause everybody who is using ui mods or a different ui than default ui knows the game very well and doesnt need the unnecessary beginner tips. Its just annoying to see them everytime while zoning in the middle of the screen.

You should be able to copy over the files from default (not sure what they are) and edit the images to your liking.

Unfortunately this doesnt work. I tried any possible way to use other pictures of the original pictures folder. There are lots of nice images in there of the same size and format as the pictures in the random folder. I deleted the f58 pictures of the random folder. copied 58 other pictures of the images folder in there, renamed them to the exact name of the old pics but somehow the launcher wants to redownload them. Well the pictures are working this way but everytime i start the updater it tries to redownload the original 58 pictures.

I have a question, there are lots of nice image files in the loadscreen folder of the default UI. Is it possible to choose my own pics of this folder without using anyone of the old pictures in the random folder ?
If i delete the pictures in the random folder of my default ui and paste my pictures in, the launcher wants to redownload the old pics.
If i create a loadscreen folder in my profit ui and paste my pics in, the mod still seems to be using the deafult pics.
I tried to open your mod file to set a new folder path, to my pictures, but i couldnt find any folder information in there.
2nd question is, is it possible to disable the beginner advices which appear while zoning ?
Would be really cool if you have some advice for me

The dragon thing is actually a new feature the devs put in. Pretty much what it does is download game content while playing. It's suppose to be fast and efficient, but I'm not really sure about in depth details.

Glad you guys like it. I'm enjoying it myself. I didn't think I'd really use it, but now I'm surprised I went as long as I did without it

I have never seen this mod before, but I really like it rather than the Default one and Profit's where the background is black and it covers up the UI.
I think I'm going to give this one a go.
