Player, target, and implied target windows
|
|
Should be straight-forward from the screen shots to the right, but here are my notes:
- Built as a set, so they're sized and aligned to look attractive when used together
- Compact as can be, leaving room for large meters for health and power
- Colored arrow icon indicators differs target window from implied target
- Health and power percentages
- Shading for easy-to-read info
Enjoy!

Well.. out of all the Player/target windows I have downloaded this and 1 other are my faves. However BOTH say
"The MainHUD Maintained window is not compatible with the current client. ..."
can anyone fix this?

1) it's a bit too large. reduce size to 75% would be about perfect, i think.
2) the green text on green background for Hit Points is somewhat difficult to read, even with the shadow backdrop. Change the text to white or blue or anything other than green, really.
3) the level floating in between HP and power for target and implied target seems to be redundant, as the info at the bottom of the power already displays the target level as well as PC class or encounter difficulty.
4) the indicator arrows that are meant to differentiate between the target box and implied target box seem to be unnecessary, as one should know which one is which just based on location (assuming you don't move your windows around willy nilly)

(1) releasing a few smaller versions packaged with my next update
(2) EQ2 changes this automatically.. I'll see if there's anything I can do about it.
(3) I've removed this on the smaller versions I'll be releasing, but it's not actually redundant. Some mobs are NPCs that only become attackable later and the only way to see what level they'll 'become' is with a mod like this.
(4) I suppose I can release two versions of each of the different size versions of this mod without the arrow, but I rather prefer the at-a-glance referenec (which is why I put them in), especially since I move my windows occassionally.

yes there is an issue
Yup, there is an issue, though I do not know what it is.
I tried this package on 3 different machines with only this UI mod and no others installed and get the same results.
Player window works fine.
Target Window comes up as a blank box.
Also noticed that the actual mob does not show hp or mana bars.
So you basically have no idea how much health/mana the mob has .. heh.. makes for an interesting fight.
I love the player window, and hope the author will see this and help us out!

Works great for me and I just love it! Was just wondering if there are any plans for a vertical group window with these type of health and power bars? I hope so!! Keep up the good work!

Looks like this one is missing some images or something... player window works fine, but just a blank box for the target window. Not sure about implied though.
