Category: Journal (Quest)[OCD-Adv] Horizontal Journal with Heritage and Writs! |
*Update as of July 13, 2005: 10:00 AM EST*
Not to be out doen by DBurgdorf, the journal now has access quest information, lore and legends information, as well as several of the more epic quests in the game. They are located under the "Lore" tab, because these quests explain the story of the game.

*Update as of July 04, 2005: 8:00 PM EST*
ALL HERITAGE QUESTS AND WRITS HAVE BEEN POPULATED WITH INFO!
Woohoo! Knew you would be glad to hear that. I have gone and added all heritage quest guides and writ informaiton to the journal. All the heritage guides are from OGaming, but I fixed a lot of info in them because so many people give completely wrong information in those guides. Myself, having finished every heritage quest in the game, I have personal experience to how they all work. For example, the GBS guide says Palladium Torque drops in Stormhold when infact it does not and never has. A Palladium Hoop drops in Stormhold however...
Please delete the following file from your UI:

*Update as of July 02, 2005: 1:00 PM EST*
Changed the formatting of this mod a bit. The 22 heritage quests now populate from their own SEPERATE files in a directory called "heritage". This gives you the ability to edit the quest information using notepad. However, you must remember there are certain characters such as ' " < / and \ you cannot use. You should instead use things like ' and others.
-----
*Update as of July 01, 2005: 4:30 PM EST*
NOW WITH HERITAGE QUEST INFORMATION! Each quest has its own page that will contain a full walkthrough for the quest. Right now there is basic quest information, but I will populate the heritage information in the following weeks.
-----
This is my journal. I spent a lot of time on it, it has the dropdown menu they added in the recent patch. As well as collection quests and heritage information.

Click the How to Install button in the upper right corner. It's usually the same for every mod. Just unzip in your custom ui folder.
Also note that this hasn't been updated for GU29 so use at your own risk.

Doesn't seem to show Quest Rewards like the default one can. Am I doing something wrong? The option to show rewards is selected.

also had a palladium torque from the chest dropped by Lord Gydak (spelt correctly?) down in the caves.

update any time soon?
This is a great mob. The functionality of it is perfect, but you haven't updated your quest. There isn't anything in there about the heritage quest from any of the expansions. Just wondering if you are going to add those any time soon.

I would disagree with this. I've run into problems with this in the Enchanted Lands in the caves and the Sinking Sands in Ro has much more layered areas. The height coordinate will be increasingly important.

I just happened to notice this comment, and frankly, I'm a bit surprised by it. Since I know you're familiar with my quest journal mod, I'm sure you're aware that the info I include in my various mods (including your heritage quest walk-thrus) is all stored in simple text files. All XML coding is in the XML files, not in the data files. This allows the data to be easily updated, as the previous poster suggested, and also allows the data to be pulled into windows of different sizes and configurations.
