If the auto updater throws a popup dialog in your face, refusing to update..

Make sure that the map files in your EQ2 UI directory isn't marked as Read Only.

A quick work around, if thats your problem, is to select the entire folder(s), right click, chose Properties.
Remove the tag in the Read Only option (it's possibly greyed out and can be difficult to see).

Then it asks if you want to do this to all the files, subfolders etc, that you have selected.. Say yes, and you're good to go.

Restart the auto updater

I have the same problem and it is in several other sub zones that this occurs. I have noticed it in the Ruins of Varsoon, Stormhold, and blackburrow. Hoping that someone will post letting me know how to fix this.

I love the program though, i have used it for quite awhile and never had this problem until the updater downloaded the Echoes of Faydwer maps.

I went into Sols Eye and the map came up fine and showed the POIs. However, if I try and mouse over a POI, it doesn't display any info. Things seem to work fine when outdoors and haven't checked in other instances yet.

Just want to say tha I have been a big fan of this program for about a year now. It's been an amazing help on numerous occasions. However, as per the previous post, this has been my largest and really only complaint about the program too. The world map is extremely outdated. It doesnt show DoF at all and definitely doesnt show anything added since then. Is there any way to update the world map to the current SOE map being used. Would be nice to get the whole picture. Thanks again for this great utility.

love this mod. My sugestion is concerning the wotld map, the eq2 mapper hasnt updated it in a while and the new one from soe is very nice can you dump the world map from the mapper and see the soe 1?

Also anyway to get a eof zone overlay that shows what zones are connected to what. I didnt play eq1 have no idea where these zones are.

Works great with Proft 2.8.2, installed profit 1st then installed the map.

But can't get to work with mapspoiler

map-spoiler did mention that manual map was a pre-requisite. anybody tried with this updater-map ?

yea same here. are you by chance using the 64 bit ver of windows? i usually get these kinds of errors cause of it.

i got this error when trying to open the Updater :

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click ok to terminate the application.

so i searched and destroyed all files containing EQ2 Map, rebooted, reinstalled, got the same message.

whats the deal ?

I am just curious when the maps will be updated so that they are current with the new revamped areas that are in CL and Nek and anywhere else that has changed?

I deleted and re D/L eqmaps as i am not getting my grp members coming uo on the map nor and i getting the lil cross come up when i am tracking something. Could u please advise me on how to fix this problem?

After removing it from your hard drive i found u have to run a search for all the files from eq2 map and then reinstall ... i had the same problem

ok i tried your new map program i down loaded it installed it now when i try to log in i type in my login name and pass word and it tells me timed out i cant log in what can i do my email is [email protected] kinda sucks i erased it off my hard drive all of eq2 and still dont work
