Target/Implied Target

The DarqUI Target and Implied Target windows feature the Target Distance Monitor, fan site URL buttons, target power bar and access to the target tagging game feature. Both windows are discussed on this page, and all features are common to both windows, with the exception of the tagging feature (blue shield icon on the Target window), which is not usable for implied targets.

Target Distance Monitor

Certain encounters require you to be at a specific distance or distance range as part of the encounter script. Some players like to watch their distance to target when using ranged attacks, or when checking to see if they are within heal range, etc. The Target Distance Monitor offers sound and visual feedback when you move into or out of a specified distance range, so you can keep your focus elsewhere.

Define in-rangeThe monitor allows you to define a distance range (in game meters) between you and your target or implied target. When you are between these two distance values you are considered to be "in-range." When you move closer you are considered "too close," and when you move out of the distance range you are considered to be "too far."

Use the slidebars to define the inner range, which by default is represented by the blue color. To adjust either value by small increments, click to the left or right of the slidebar thumb control.

Choose feedback optionsWhen the monitor is turned on in game, moving into this distance range will give the target window a blue background and play the associated sound. Moving too close or too far will show the color and play the sound associated with those distance ranges. You can choose sound, color, both or neither for each distance range.

Start the monitorTo start the distance monitor, click the green gem on the face of the target or implied target window. If your target distance game feature was not already turned on from the Options window, it will be displayed. You can suspend and restart the monitor any time by clicking the gem again without having to reset the distance values.

Other settingsColors and sounds can be changed for each of the three distance ranges. The opacity of the colored warning background can be set. There is also a text prompt that appears at the top of the window that can be turned on or off by default.
