ALCHEMY: BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY

==================================================

Alchemists serve three purposes: (1) they create essences which can be used by fighter classes to improve their combat arts, (2) they create poisons which can be used by scout classes (except dirges and troubadors) to dramatically enhance their combat damage and/or debuff their targets, and (3) they create potions which can be used by anyone, to heal, to regenerate health or power, to provide protection or stat boosts, or to remove hostile effects.

To create these pharmacological wonders, they use harvested roots, loam (from ore nodes), gems and soft metals (from stone nodes) and dust (a byproduct of the creation of Adept III spell or combat art upgrades from rare ingredients).

Potions and poisons are created at "Pristine" quality level in stacks of 10.

STACKING POTIONS OR POISONS

Whether two or more potions or poisons will "stack" with each other depends entirely upon their color. Two potions or poisons of the same color will not stack; one will simply overwrite the other. But you can have one of each different color (up to four different potions or three different poisons) in effect at any given time.

   Green Potions:
      Elixir of Constitution
      Elixir of Deftness
      Elixir of Fortitude
      Elixir of Intellect
      Elixir of Piety
      Elixer of Second Sight
      Elixer of Tactics
      Elixir of Thorns
      Elixir of Transcendence

   Purple Potions:
      Arcane Reprieve
      Elemental Reprieve
      Essence of Clarity
      Essence of Health
      Essence of Power
      Essence of Regeneration
      Noxious Reprieve

   Red Potions:
      Arcane Remedy
      Elemental Remedy
      Noxious Remedy
      Trauma Remedy

   Violet * Potions:
      Freedom of Action
      Freedom of Mind

   Blue Poisons:
      Essence of Turgur
      Fettering
      Ignorant Bliss
      Stupefying Poison

   Purple Poisons:
      Cerebral Ebb
      Enfeebling
      Gracelessness
      Warding Ebb

   Red Poisons:
      Caustic Poison
      Hemotoxin
      Mental Breach
      Vitality Breach

* Note that the violet potion color is a light purple, which could easily be confused with the normal purple at a quick glance.
