Please post any questions you have about my mods to the support thread. Bug reports and feature requests should be made through my Portal.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?

This journal mod places the quest tree and quest description panes horizontally, rather than vertically the way the default journal does. It's based on the old Milquetowst Horizontal Quest Journal, which can be found here:
http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=3860

Most of the excess space around either pane has been removed, as well as the window title bar. The "Window Settings" and "Close" buttons have been moved down into the tab area.

============================================

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Both panes can be resized by clicking and dragging the center splitter to the left or right. You can enlarge the window to allow further expansion of either pane.

PLEASE NOTE: This mod's right pane (where the quest description is displayed) is...quirky. :) In order for its contents to be displayed correctly, you MUST drag the right and/or bottom edges of the journal window LAST after resizing the rest of the window to force the quest description text to readjust to its new pane area. If you don't, you'll find that the text will continue past the scrollbar or page edge and be cut off. (*** If anyone can tell me how to fix this while maintaining the ability to resize both the left and right panes, I'll be your best friend forever! :) ***)

HOW DO I INSTALL IT?

1. Follow the installation instructions for all UI mods here: http://faq.eq2interface.com/

2. When logging in to EQ2 for the first time after copying this mod's XML file to your custom UI directory, you need to check your journal's window settings to ensure the mod is showing up correctly:
	a) Right-click on the bars and choose "Window Settings."
	b) Slide all opacity sliders to the right as far as they will go ("Window," "Frame and Title," and "Backdrop").
	c) Select "Frame and Titlebar" from the "Frame and Title" drop-down menu.
	d) You may need to untick the "Locked" checkbox so you can resize the window and make all available elements visible.
	e) Click "OK" to save your changes.

3. Once you're sure the mod is installed correctly, you can go back into your "Window Settings" dialog box and hide any unwanted elements.

Enjoy!!
