Game Update #49 (October 7, 2008)

- During 'Raising the Banner': A team of dedicated excavators and researchers have begun to uncover a remarkable find in the dunes of Sinking Sands. They have numerous tasks for any recruits willing to help defend the site, excavate relics, maintain their assisting clockworks and provide crafted supplies for the team. They cannot fathom how important this project is and how it is fated to reshape the world of Norrath for years to come!
- Construction of the Guild Halls has been completed.  Guilds of qualifying levels can now purchase halls in a variety of locations.  Smaller halls can be found in North Qeynos, South Freeport, Kelethin, Neriak, and Gorowyn.  Medium halls are found in South Qeynos and North Freeport, and large halls are found off the shores of Antonica and Commonlands.  Click on the corresponding doors, or mariner bells on the docks, to access these new structures.
- With the work completed on the coastal fortresses in Antonica and Commonlands the involved parties have retired to their cities and the guards have been recalled to the barracks.

Game Update #48 (September 3rd, 2008)

- The Guild Hall building projects for Qeynos and Freeport have begun to run dangerously low on resources!  Director Jasmine at the Antonica docks and Director Hezreal at the Commonlands docks are eagerly seeking workers willing to help alleviate the situation.
- During Breaking Ground (GU48): The Prophet of Healing, Seeress Ealaynya Ithis, has been murdered and Antonica appears to have been affected! Theories abound as to who performed the deed and towards what end. You may start your own investigation at the Temple of Life in North Qeynos. Meanwhile Evdokia, one of the Plaguebringers fervent followers in Gorowyn, has tasks for those willing to help the Disciples of Disease. Wont she be delighted by the news of the Seeress demise!
- Once thought lost to the waters of the Lake of Ill Omen, the ancient iksar city of Veksar has once again been discovered by the adventurers of Norrath!  What has happened in the ancient theater of this once thriving resort city since it disappeared after the Age of Turmoil, and what secrets and treasures does it hold now?  Make your way to the outpost of Omens Call, and see if you can begin to unravel the mystery of this risen ancient monument to the pride and power of the Sathirian Empire.
- Guilds can now assign and track points for guild members.  Points can be assigned in many different ways.  New guild permissions determine which members can manage points and which members can receive points.  For more information, check out the Guild Member Points help topic in-game by clicking on the help button (?) on top right of the the Guild Window (U).

Game Update #46 (June 17th, 2008)

- During 'Gathering Tempest' (GU46): The ranks of Freeport's Academy of Arcane Science and Qeynos' Concordium have been stretched thin as they attempt to investigate the mysterious and dark storms that have erupted across Norrath. Those wishing to volunteer their services for the investigation are encouraged to speak with the Concordium Pupil Adepts or Academy Apprentices that have been sent all across the world.
- There is a great commotion stirring around Bog Mountain, goblins from all nations appear to be drawn to the halls of Runnyeye Citadel! High level groups can now investigate, should they choose, the new dealings with the goblins in Runnyeye: The Gathering!
- Poisons now have the option to auto consume when they run out.  Check out the 'POISONS' section for details.
Carpenters, inspired by some of the elaborate cloaks adventurers have discovered, have started learning to create similar tapestries for the home.  They have also acquired a few new recipes inspired by Kelethin and Maj'dul craftsmanship.

Game Update 45: (May 13th, 2008)

- A miraculous event has occurred in North Qeynos. Pilgrims can learn about it from the witnesses at the Temple of Life.
- During 'A Prophet Returns' (GU45): There's a mysterious blight spreading across Norrath's cities.  The Celestial Watch seeks to help those suffering from it while servants of the Plaguebringer bask within their cries.  Which will you choose?
- Additional bank space and new functionality to the shared bank have been added.  Check out the BANK section below for details.
- Grey quests are now easier to find, will award adventure experience and, in many cases, will award more achievement experience.
- Coercers and Weaponsmiths and Woodworkers will each find significant changes to their classes.
- Priest single target cure spells have been combined into one spell named 'Cure'.

Game Update 44: (April 8th, 2008)

- The Shard of Hate is now open for high level raid groups willing to try their mettle against the Maestro. The influx of hatred into the world is affecting many throughout Norrath with increased hostility clearly evident.
- You can now choose to show off your equipped bow by displaying it in place of your melee weapons.
- Two new armored wargs have been discovered. Potential owners should look for the new beasts in Kunark.

Game Update 43: (March 4th, 2008)

- Shiny harvestables now act like treasure chests!  Loot em' or leave em'!
- Need before greed and Round Robin looting options are added: Players are now given the options to select 'need', 'greed', or 'decline' for each item in a chest or items can be assigned to players automatically in round-robin fashion.
- You can now specify an item rarity level in your group options, such as Treasured, Legendary, Fabled or All Items.
- There are now more amenities available in East, North and South Freeport, including bankers, menders, and mariner's bells to summon transportation in and out.
- Gigglegibber Goblins have expanded their lotto services to the Antonica and Commonlands docks in the hopes of persuading Kunark-bound ship travelers to try their luck (and take their coin...)
- Crafting stations are now available in Maj'dul, in the Golden Sceptre.
- New characters no longer receive an introductory note to speak to a tradeskill trainer.  They now receive a full manual from their local tradeskill society.
- EQII now supports the Logitech G15 Keyboard's LCD display. You can enable/disable this option under Options->User Interface->Game Features. The data sent to the LCD window is extremely customizable.

Game Update 42: (February 6th, 2008)
- A new epic quest line is available for every class of adventurer and crafter who has reached level 80.
- The Avatars of the Gods have returned with renewed strength and new members: The Tribunal, Karana and Bertoxxolous.
- New mannequins are available for displaying armor and weapons in your house. You can acquire them from some of your more dedicated and advanced crafting friends.
- Two new UI windows are available: Pet Options and Connection Status. Check out the User Interface section for details.
- PvP armor sets and PvP based writs are now available on the PvP servers.

Game Update 41: (October 17th, 2007)

- Frostfell is here!  Visit all the starting cities (as well as some others) and take part in the festivities!
- The secrets to the Sarnak language have finally been revealed, Gorwish is now able to be learned!
- PvP - Killing another player will now reward experience even if the player has their adventure experience disabled.

Game Update 40: (November 13th, 2007) - Rise of Kunark (expansion)

- RISE OF KUNARK IS HERE!
- To arms! The continent of Kunark has been rediscovered in the waters of the Timorous Deep! 
- The lich emperor, Venril Sathir, has spent the last 500 years nearly conquering the breadth of the land, driving the DiZok to make their final stand in the city of Chardok. 
- Suddenly awakened into a hostile world, the sarnak of Gorowyn have begun to explore not only a vast and varied land, but also their own mysterious past -- not stopping for anything that might stand in their way. 
- Will you be able to tame this harsh land, or will you be unable to stop the Rise of Kunark?

Game Update 39: (October 17th, 2007)

- The Fear Gate in the Feerrott has opened! The Shard of Fear, a fraction of the Plane of Fear, is now accessible by Norrathian mortals. Only seasoned adventurers traveling in groups should dare look upon this realm of terror and dread. 
- Further sighting of mysterious visitors from Kunark have occurred in the waters near Freeport and Qeynos. See Admiral Marc Grenich in Qeynos Harbor and Livia Montellus in Freeport East to join in the investigations of these visitors. 
- Guild banks have been extended with several new options. See the Guild Banks section below for details.

Game Update 38: (September 12th, 2007)

- Rumors have it that Bristlebane has returned. Is this just another joke, or has another deity returned to Norrath?
- The dual wield designation has been removed and replaced with a system that will allow for more variety.
- There is a new Appearance tab in the Inventory window. Items worn here will not convey benefits, but will override what people see on your character.
- The Estate of Unrest is now a persistent instance.

Game Update 37: (July 31st, 2007)

- You can now sell items on the broker with more than one character.
- Emerald Halls is now a persistent instance raid zone!  
- You can now buy back items you most recently sold to NPC merchants!
- Items that offer or are needed by quests will now display that information.
- Achievement points spent are no longer locked to a single tree.  When you respec, you will be able to spend them on either tree (up to 50 per tree).
- Crafters now gain tradeskill experience from completing tradeskill writs.

Game Update 36: (June 28,th, 2007)

- The final chapters of the Swords of Destiny quest line have been released. See Sir Trodonis in Butcherblock for further information. 
- Not happy with your tradeskill profession? Consult a tradeskill career counselor in Neriak, Kelethin, Qeynos Ironforge Exchange, Freeport Coalition of Tradesfolke or Haven about the possibility of starting over! 
- Coin is now weightless and automatically changes up to the best denominations. No more destroying copper! 
- Ctrl-click an item link or icon to preview equipment, mounts, furniture, and more in the Dressing Room!

Game Update 35: (May 23rd, 2007)

- The lost city of Neriak has been rediscovered!
- A new playable race, the Arasai, are now available for players who have Echoes of Faydwer.
- New characters created for Neriak will start in Hate's Envy, an outpost in the Darklight Wood.
- A whole new LFG system is available. Find friends, slaughter foes!
- House moves just became less of a chore!
- PvP players can no longer use zoning to escape combat!
- An additional character slot has been added to all accounts &amp; two for Station Access subscribers!

- Enter the Magic Closet in Qeynos Harbor, West Freeport, Haven, or Kelethin to travel to the Frostfell Wonderland Village. Here you can gather presents to craft wondrous Frostfell goodies, see if reindeer really know how to fly, purchase Frostfell goods, and even assist Mr. McScroogle in an important task. And don't forget to log in each day and claim your extra-special Frostfell present from everyone's favorite Frostfell elf Gardy Giftgiver!
