EQ2Interface

Performance Center Release Notes
1.36 Beta

  • Fixed an issue causing songs not to be editable following addition of new song (add, import).
  • Changed lines not to accept double quotations. Unclosed quotations caused EQ2 to incorrectly parse lines, displaying no content. Program now converts double quotations to two single quotations when songs are imported or lines added/edited. It will leave current songs in a song book with double quotations alone. These songs can be fixed by removing the quotations and at the users discretion by re-adding them. A future release will replace double quotations with single quotations whenever a song is loaded (either singly or as part of a songbook).

1.35 Beta

PERFORMANCES IN UI
  • Fixed an issue causing a stanza not work when %T or %t (target) and a single quote ' was included in a single line. This may have bedeviled some folks.
  • Fixed an issue causing a stanza not to work if the first line was custom command. This may have bedeviled some folks.
  • Fixed an issue causing the scroll bar for songs to be unusable.
  • Fixed the stanza checkbox tooltips to read Unmark instead of Ubmark.

Import Song from Text File: Application Menu: File -> Advanced -> Song (Import from Text File).
  • Fixed issue causing import form text file to fail when command was too short. This may have bedeviled some folks.
  • Added messaging if an import fails
  • Fixed Issue with Stanza Numbers not Aligning to Stanza Names when importing from text file. This may have been confusing to some folks as Stanza Number 0 was named Stanza 1 and so on which could lead to confusion when looking between EQ2 UI and the editor.
  • Added recognition for the word custom at the beginning of a line. This is so if you change between lines from some other command like say to custom command like moon (social) the parser will recognize the change. Every time you want to change the default command you need to add a command to the line where that change occurs. If the command is not say, gsay, shout, emote, please use the word custom before the command.
  • When importing a song from a text file, the new song becomes active once imported

New Editor Functionality: Application Menu: Edit -> Song
  • Added command to move a song or up (left) or down (right). This will be reflected in the EQ2UI mod that is published. Its a convenient way to re-order songs. Edit -> Song -> Move -> (up/down)
  • Adding a song now insert the song in the position of the currently active song This is to be consistent with the way lines and stanzas work. Edit -> Song -> (Add New/Paste).

1.30 Beta

  • Re-enabled the import song form a text file functionality. The functionality can now be activated from the Application Menu: File -> Advanced -> Song (Import from Text File).
  • Modified import song from text file functionality to account for ansi line feeds.
  • Various internal code changes for efficiency.

1.25 Beta

  • Fixed the import song form a text file functionality. Two issues were reported/discovered: (1) If the lines in the file were two short nothing would be imported. (2) Command recognition was not working properly such that almost all lines were defined as say or custom. Please remember the file must be a plain text file, word, rtf, etc. files will not work. The functionality can now be activated from the Application Menu: File -> Advanced -> Song (Import from Text File).
  • Re-Organized the File Menu To place all the songbook save/load/create at the top. Moved the less used/needed song functionality to an Advanced Sub-Menu. See the help contents in the editor.
  • Added a Songbook Save Item If the user has loaded or saved the current songbook, it will attempt to save the songbook to the same location and named file without prompting the user. The old menu item Save Songbook has been renamed Save SongBook As.
  • Added checks before loading or creating a new song book to see if the user wants to save the current song book.
  • Added numerous error pop ups if something goes wrong so the user can see the error. This includes Loading, Saving, and Importing Song Books/Songs as well as to a lesser extent publishing the UI.
  • Re-Did the in-editor help file to be up to date with all changes since version 1.0 and to be more clear.
  • Various internal code changes for efficiency.

1.20 Beta

  • Added the ability to import a song from a random text file. The importer will assume the name of the song is the name of the text file and that any blank lines indicate a change in Stanza. It will look for various eq2 chat commands (with and without /) in the first portion of a line of text. But will default to say if there is no '/' at the beginning of a line or custom if there is. The functionality can be activated from the Application Menu: File -> Load -> Song (Import from Text File).
  • Added the ability rename a song from the Edit Menu. Users can still click on the song name in the tab to rename as well.
  • Fixed an issue that caused lines to be longer than EQ2 will allow. The line boxes will not stop accepting input once that limit is reached (about 250 characters)
  • Added an About Pop-Up window which displays the current version of the Song Editor. This can be accessed from the application menu: Help -> Application About.
  • Altered Paste and Add new lines/stanzas to insert the new line or stanza below the existing line or stanza the functionality is called from.
  • Altered the Stanza and Line Buttons to display Add New and Paste Copied at the top level instead of within a paste sub-menu. The sub-menus were removed.
  • Various internal code changes for efficiency.

1.10 Beta

  • Fixed issue preventing %T from being used properly causing a stanza containing %T to not output when the stanza button is pressed in the UI.
  • Added Menu Item: Interface -> Install UI to Current Custom UI . Allows user to install to their current UI mod without copy and pasting. As always after installing the UI mod, users should log out of (close eq2 entirely) and back into EQ2 to see the changes.
  • Altered Menu Item: Interface -> Install UI to Default Custom Directory . Will now update the users eq2.ini file to point to the performance mod. Saves user having to edit the eq2.ini file manually. As always after installing the UI mod, users should log out of (close eq2 entirely) and back into EQ2 to see the changes.
  • Altered Interface -> Install UI to Default Custom and Current Custom UI. These now deletesall DOS files in EQ2 Installation before writing new DOS files. This should keep the directory cleaner.
  • Added Menu Item: Edit -> Stanza -> Add New Stanza to Bottom and Edit -> Stanza -> Copy Stanza to Bottom. These will a stanza to the bottom of the currently displayed song, either a new stanza or previously copied stanza. This menu will not be available if there are already 256 stanzas in the current song. Copy Stanza to Bottom will not be available if there no stanza has been copied.
  • Altered Paste item in Stanza Button to not be available if there are more than 256 stanzas in the current song.
  • Disabled Stanza Context menu. This menu was causing problems as it does not close if focus changes and it was leading to inadvertent deletions and/or inserts of stanzas. Users should use the new Edit -> Stanza menu or the Stanza Button instead.
  • Corrected issue with size of stanzas when inserted.
  • Added application icon for kicks.
  • Various internal code changes for efficiency.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:51 PM.
