DarqUI Unified Notifications (DarqUI_Notify) is an optional background app that periodically checks your DarqUI folder for new file versions. It runs as a taskbar tray icon. You can add it to your Startup folder (recommended) or run the app directly. The notifier app only reports on the status of your files. You must still use the main utility to download new file versions.
Version 18.104.22.168 or higher will also report the status of your EQ2MAP

DarqUI_Notify conveys the status of your files by color:
Green or no color: All files are up to date. Any files that you have skipped are ignored.
Amber: At least one file has a new version. Mouse over the tray icon for a status tooltip.
Red: There was an error checking for updates.
Gray: An update check is pending.
Purple: Startup, normal background operation.
When you run the app (or restart your computer with the app in Startup), it schedules a file check within one minute of starting up. After that, your files are checked about every 12 hours. Checking for updates with the DarqUI Unified Utility will sync the notifier within a few seconds after closing the utility. If your computer is asleep when an automatic file check is scheduled to occur, it will be performed a short time after the computer wakes up.
If your computer takes a while to connect to the Internet when starting up, the first update check may fail (red icon). Check the delayed startup box on the Settings window to add another minute to the startup delay. This will also suspend the app for a slightly longer time when returning from sleep or hibernate.
Right-click the tray icon to open the Settings window. Here you can adjust the location of the DarqUI custom folder, schedule a manual file check and view the current status and next check times. You can also optionally specify locations for the DarqUI Unified Utility and the EverQuest II LaunchPad. After you pick the locations for these programs, you can launch them directly from the tray icon menu. Clicking Exit will close the DarqUI_Notify app, but will not remove it from the Startup folder.
Note: If you have "skipped" any files on the updater, you must be using utility version 22.214.171.124 or higher, otherwise DarqUI_Notify will not notice that files have been skipped when calculating updates.
