disappearing map

I love this program! I've been showing it off to everyone, its even in our guild MOTD.
It's always worked great until 2 days ago. Now about 30 minutes, sometimes less, into the game the maps disappear. Zoning does no good. When I log out they come back but then it happens again. It was happening with the old version but now that I have updated to the new, its still happening. I had it rescan everything but it doesn't seem to help. I suspect this is an SOE issue (along with my computer unexpectedly switching from full screen to windowed at random intervals and the 'locked in combat') but if you have any advice, I would love to know.
