Default Tracking Window - test please

I wanted to make a slimmer tracking window for a guildy and saw the one by Deathbane27, but was not satisfied with it to make a referral.

I do not paly a scout and cannot test this myself. Could someone who plays a scout test out this file, and if it works get some screen shots for me?

Thanks,

You've got all 4 character slots filled and not ONE of them is a scout?

Note: When I first loaded it up it had "Tracking" and the close button showing. When I adjusted the window settings, however, and changed it to "Frame Only", they dissappeared, and "Frame and Titlebar" wasn't an option for bringing them back. I fixed this by duplicating the WC_Frame page and renaming it WC_Titlebar.

i was going to ask for this kind of mod just now. )
im not as handy as the above poster and so id rather wait for second version, but u seem to be on the right track... the window needs to be resizeable as in EQ1 so more targets can be seen when one wants to.
i play a Rogue and tracking is very important to us.
thank you in advance for your kind work. looking forward to one i can test comfortably.
good travels

@Deathbane27
Thanks for the feedback.
And....I only have 3 slots used, but I'm a lazy s.o.b. and didn't feel like making one just to test this out. 8)

Edit:
I went ahead and made a scout and did the final testing myself. I've uploaded the mod to EQ2Interface,a dn it should be able to be downloaded shortly.

This just came up on the Scout's Sanctuary forums..

There are two modes that tracking currently operates in:
1. By distance, regardless of con or name
2. By con first and by name second

There is also a potential third mode that tracking could operate in that may just be bugged
3. By name, regardless of con

Actually it's even buggier than I'm letting on because when you sort by name, the con is sorted alphabetically rather than by difficulty, meaning that not only does it not sort by name but the *cons* are sorted blue, gray, green, orange, red, white, yellow instead of gray, green, blue, white, yellow, orange, red.

Sorting by distance is an even worse issue. Basically when you first load track it is organized by distance. If you choose to sort by name at any time, you cannot return to the distance sort without camping and re-logging.

Major improvements would be:
1. Provide an actual by-difficulty sort
2. Provide an actual by-distance sort
3. Provide an actual by-name sort
4. Provide two of the above simultaneously

Two drop downs could do all of this:
1. Primary sort - (Con, name or distance)
2. Secondary sort - (Con, name or distance)

Another very general change that could help greatly would be to reduce the font size on the tracking window to something very small, like the equivalent of an Arial Narrow 6 on a termpaper.. Something that would allow you to display the entire tracking window without scrolling.

The person that I originally made the mod for actually requested the same thing.

Here is the custom alterations I did for them:

I shrunk the default font down to 10pt, ZapfChancery or whatever it is.

If you want to try it out, I have attached the zip for it as well.

Unfortunately, this is something we are unable to alter; gotta be done by the developers.

Thanks Mortis and, yeah, I suspected as much Deathbane.

Really wish they had given us a sort by distance button since the default is that method.

As for the con vs. true alpha sort.. I'll probably be feedbacking this later. I will probably include the fact that cons are not being sorted by difficulty but by con-alpha too..
