Default Using %v?

How do we use %v to enable click healing? And is someone going to make a Healbot UI element soon?

It looks like you create a macro with a targeted spell, like a heal, and in the Target box where you'd normally type a name you put %v.

Then if you hold your mouse over someone's name in the group or raid window and press the key for that macro it will cast the spell on them.

That's the best I could figure out from a quick test.

Not sure how much use it will actually be if you're using most 3rd party UI's since you probably already have click to cure and some heal/spell buttons on the raid/group windows. If you're going to have your mouse over the group window anyway it's faster just to click the heal button.

Either it is not in game yet or it does not work the way you are thinking because I have tried that plus several other methods and it won't cast the spell. Even looked through options to see if there was something that needed to be turned on.

Tested a few moments ago & seems to be working as Sisca described. However it is limited to raid frames, group frames, target frame & player frame as far as I can tell.

I have to be missing something because I am trying the exact same thing and cant get it to cast. Does it only work on default?

I am using Nature's Embrace and putting %v in the target section.

I am using DarqUI so not just default.

I am wondering if it is possible to use "conditional" commands in macro's?

for instance
if mouseover target exists cast @ mouseover
if no mouseover target exists cast @ target
if neither mouseover target or target exists cast @ self

or is it possible to use modifiers?
for instance (modifier #1 = shift, modifier #2 = Alt)
cast @ mouseover if no modifier
cast @ target if modifier #1
cast @ self if modifier #2

I played WoW for many years & mouseover macro's are a powerful tool, but without full functionality it isn't much better than what we already have.

You couldn't do a check, but you could just force try all, and the first successful one would work. Doesn't seem all that useful though. Downside to multiple casts in a macro is always unintentional spell queuing though.
