Default POI's missing in Qeynos Maps

I downloaded the EQ2Map Manual Version: v2-16_May_2012 (.zip file is EQ2MAP_V2_051612.zip). I installed the maps successfully. Everything seems fine, the maps are great especially when travelling in dungeons. The maps work fine for Butcherblock Mountains, Zek the Orchish Wasteland, Lavastorm etc.

However when my character is in Qeynos (North or South), the map does not have any POI's, e.g. when my character is in South Qeynos near the dock, the title tab of the map reads "Qeynos Province District", the map showing "Current zone" and the map is "qeynos_combined02_0 (or qeynos_combined02_1), the map only shows the red arrow indicating my position and a blue dot indicating my quest update point (the map is not blank nor black).

When I chose "Karan" instead of "Current zone" and selected the "Qeynos Harbor", then a detailed map shows up with all the detailed POI's but without the red arrow showing my position. It seems that when in Qeynos, all the "Current zone" maps are not able to show POI's.

The file folder ..\EverQuest II\UI\EQ2Map\POI containing the POI entries has 582 files.

Anyone has any idea what went wrong?

Thanks.

Hello jnils,

I saw this page "http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info3391-EQ2MAP-ManualVersionOfficial.html" that it says the EQ2MAP manual version has been updated dated 03-23-2013. Does it mean that the issue has been solved? Should I download and install the new version in my EQ2 folder?

thanks

Hello jnils again,

I downloaded the 03-23-2013 version of EQ2MAP and installed into my EverQuest/UI folder accordingly. Now the map is working fine.

Thank you for your prompt action and your contribution towards EQ2 community is very much appreciated. Great work.

I salute you.

Thanks again.
