Scroll-less chat windows for tabbed chat

It appears the old scroll-less chat window mods break the Tabbed Chat capability after this big patch, so I'd like to request a scroll-less version of the new main chat windows.

... but 2 issues:

1. shift up and shift down does not move the text anymore.

2. when a "chat" shows up the backdrop no longer becomes active

Any chance of fixing these 2?

the new tabbed chat windows have a 'border' in the tab area that still shows when no frame is selected.. any chance someone could look into hiding just that border part? I have a suspicion that this will require SOE attention..

Yeah, it'd be nice if we could adjust opacity levels for the top border and tab borders/background, and it'd be even nicer if we could do that while leaving the text at default opacity. Time will tell.
