java and profit do not play well together

I recently tried to update my profit after coming back to eq2 from playing Landmark for a while. It gives me the .jar issue and I installed Java 7 thinking I needed to update java to get it to work. Still not working. How do I fix this? I am playing in default,, someone shoot me.
I went to that site and downloaded the latest zip file for Profit updater, its not working.
Help soon please.
