Default Graphics in UI Builder

Is it a common thing to have all imported graphics stretch to the bottom of the screen until using the sourceRect window ? For some reason all the graphics I make myself end up strecthing the entire length of the window, (top to bottom). Has anyone else encountered this ? And how can I prevent it from happening ?

For the image to show up correctly in the "UIBuilder" the size needs to be in powers of 2 or somthing like that.. If you know the rect of the part of the image you want then it don't really matter as the game will show it correctly, its just in the uibuilder that it gets skewed(sp).

Ahhh excellent, thank you for the reply. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't causing a format problem or something. The images are all in powers of 2, although i have seen that the nvidia plugin has told me once that it should be in a power of 4 before it would save but I dont know why it told me that. I just keep everything at a power of 2 to be safe
