.NET issue - Can't start updater

EQ2 maps has been working very well for me up until a few days ago. i have tried re-installing the updater, .NET Framework 1.1 as well as the 2.0 beta. All i get now is the following error:

.NET Framework Initialization Error

To run this application you must first install one of the following versions of .NET Framework: v2.0.50215

just curious why this is happening now when it worked fine before. thanks for any insight.

Reinstall 2.0, it didn't take, it seems.

i have installed it a few times already. same result. question, i haven't installed service pack 2 for windows xp, would that create an issue for .net 2.0?

yes. also lot of other base issues will be there if you havent installed security updates for that long.
