BadIronTree

a few things. Ill post it here so other people can see it too
1. Try to keep the shadows low profile. So it still looks like a map on a parchment. I try to keep spread/size (drop shadow properties) lower than 25 each
2. Textures. an awesome eye candy tool. Check out some of the maps i made recently. Select the area, color it in, and then texture it. Layers does wonders here.
3. Shrink the zone area a bit. We want to see some parchment around the sides so it looks good remember, loooots of people see these, we'd like for it to look like it belongs...and for standardizing purposes

4. good job man glad too see someone else havin fun makin some maps!

i make the skeleton 436 width (map parchment size)
if i make is smaller would be wrone right?
the people will be out of the map...
i cant add anything to this one becuase i did not went there he did :P

my old zonerect calculater has an option to specify what size the map is so that you can not have to use the whole map and still get an accurate zonerect.

yeah, i basically tried to add in where the gargoyles were for each house and all that, so depending on how ya do it, youll have the POIs already included, they are set with each house

the houses ya cant go into, so shadowing them like that works fine, i just put them in because they were there, and the well as well, altho it DOES have water at the bottom, so i may jump down to see whats there

but thankee for doin me up a pic of it, now i just gotta figer out how to get it into me map system

and by the way, i absofrigginlutely love the EQ2map thingy

I had actually started working on this one last night, but got sidetracked. Here's the game files and the preview of what it looks like.

These are so fun to make and you guys have made it super easy to do them. I have yet to do a multi-layered zone though. Guess that's the next challenge.

I need the internal name and proper name of this zone. Is this "The Cauldron Hollow," "Cauldron Cove," etc.

Was planning to post my log for the zone The Witches' Cove, but as it's an instance of Cauldron Hollow and the map is done, it's not needed.
The Cauldron Cove map should be used for this instance too.

Proper name: The Witches' Cove
Internal zone name: not sure of it, but it's prolly nektulos_epic01_cauldroncove_SG as it's the solo instance of Cauldron Cove.
