Default UI Builder question

I've searched around and could not find an answer to the problem i'm having with the UI Builder program.

When it is running on my machine it consumes over half of the CPU cylces (50+ CPU usage), needless to say, it's hard to do anything.

Is this normal? or is there something that machine specific to mine?

TIA.

It can use that much CPU when you're looking at a really complicated scene. Try hiding a few elements that you're not using at the moment.

Also try to reduce cases where you're tiling a small texture a large number of times, you can see this by clicking show triangles, areas of solid or close to solid white are very inefficient, both in UIBuilder and in game.

Thanks for the reply DNeufeldSOE.
I'm kinda new to this XML stuff (VB Programmer). Anyway, this happens when I load the EQ2UI.xml file, the FPS is at 2, and CPU cycle at 50. If I try to load just a single one (i.e. eq2ui_mainhud_player.xml ) i get no graphics.
