Totaly Lock up

i Often lock totally up when updater runs.. i am running ver .97 (the most recent), and i have the additional downloads ...
only way to get out of a lock up is to completely reboot my computer ..
any ideas ?

Are you running the .NET 1.1 From the Windows Update site? Also I wonder if it may be either a Software or Hardware Firewall that may be blocking the Updater from accessing the web, which might be causing the Lockup.

If you right click on the Updater Shortcut, and choose Properties, and Find Target... Button, it will bring you to the updater's folder. Open the eq2map_config.cfg file in Notepad and paste the values here. If you don't have this file, the program didn't initalize properly the first time. Also are you running Windows XP Home or Professional or one of the 64Bit Versions?
