Default Failure to download Database

Hiyas,

I have recently downloaded the auto update version 1.0.17 but has trouble updating my files.

The error message read:

Error Downloading File:
Database
The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.

I had downloaded .Net, enabled firewall to allow Eq2updater, but has not got it to solve the trouble.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks

Do you get the same message every time you press Update?

Yes, it happen everytime. Even clicking update wont help.

Another thing I tried was to delete my Eq2.config file (resetting to default UI) and trying to download everything, still have the same error.

Hence currently stuck with the manual download version of the maps.

Regards

Try EQ2 Henchman to see if you can update with it to test to see if it is a firewall issue.

I have exactly same problem, but it does download and updates my maps with the POI's.
So i guess it al works fine exept it says that database didnt load before updating poi's.
So what exactly im i missing when it doesnt load database?
No windows firewall , not behind a router , no kind of security software on my pc.

If you use the latest verion you can open options and press "Clear Cache".
Then try to update again
