Any Ideas? Wont update - locks up and goes non-responsive.

I know this is late, but have you been editing the source code at all? I only ask because the main function does have the STAThread attribute on it.

No changes have been made to the source at all. Have tried redownloading and installing several times, only thing I can figure is I have a ghost from beta that is causing the fubar maybe?

Completely uninstalled EQ everything - and reran. Identical error.

Hmm, all your .NET versions are correct and in the correct place. Seems odd that its doing something with the clipboard, haven't looked at the code in a while but pretty sure it shouldn't be.

Do other .NET applications work?

what it does with the clipboard is copy the error text for you when the error window opens up, that way you dont have to do it manually.

If anyone has this figures out, let me know.. everything used to work for me, but one day it just started getting this error (identical to the one described).

I uninstalled, deleted the old directory and reinstalled, no luck.. can't auto-update.

I'm downloading the service pack 1 for .net, I'll post if it fixes the problem.

Ok, that seemed too easy after weeks of it being broken, but the sp1 update for .net fixed it.
