Default Scout Class (Failed Abilities)

Ok, I am not sure If I can explain this properly but I'll try.

As a scout class there are many attacks that require us to be in certain posistions. I.E. Behind or Flanking a target. Also, many of our attacks, as other classes have various ranges.

Here's my grip and I am wondering if it can be fixed with the UI.

There are various times in game when the game will 'honk' at you if you are not facing the right direction, like when gathering. Or if you try to send a tell to someone that is too far away by clicking on their toon.

All the other class get a 'FIZZLED' message when something fails.

There are many times, whe I can't get an ability to go off because I'm like two pixels off from being 'flanking' a target or behind a target. I just have to move a BIT more to get the attack off.. The problem is that the message we get that indicates we must be behind the target, or are too far away is put in the combat widnow and scolls past faster than you can read it.

Is there a way we can get a 'honk' or even an on screen message like 'fizzled' when an attack is failing because of posistion.
It hink it says something like 'you must be flanking your target'

how would that be different than the 'honk' you get when you are not close enough something to intereact with it.

Hope that makes sense, perhaps other scouts will know what I am talking about.

I feel your pain, but it's not something we can do here. You'll have to /feedback or /bug it to SOE.

In the meantime, you can create a new chat window and filter all and only Combat Warning and Narrative text to it. That's what's on my Ranger so I can make sure my position and attack state (for stealth abilities) are correct.

Yeah, I didn't think so. I looked over the list and didn't see anything that seemed associated with those events. But I thought I would check.
