Default Gimp Can't Save DDS

I've been working on creating a map for the house I'm renting as there isn't currently one - yes I know it's simple but figured it was a good starting/learning point.

Managed to get the first floor done without any problems. Read up on how to do multi-floor maps and worked on getting the 2nd floor done. All looked good until I went to save it as a DDS file (using GIMP as my editor). It gives me a message
Quote:
DDS: It appears your image may be a volume map,
but not all layers are the same size, thus a volume
map cannot be written.
I didn't get this with the first floor so I don't know what I did different nor how to fix it. Any help?

I don't use GIMP so I can't be sure, but just by the discription of the errors it sounds like you might need to flatten the map (condense everything in to a single layer) before exporting it as a DDS -- I'm not sure what conditions there is in GIMP for exporting to DDS.
