error updating

I'm not sure if this can be easily fixed or if it was already posted and dealt with, I poked around some, didnt see anything soo, here,

i got this as my errors;

...and i have no idea what that means, tried to run eq2 outof it just to see and none of the buttons worked the map wouldnt even open, menu was black etc.

Help would be apprieciated, thankya.

try re-running it again in a few hours, its most likely a glitch with your connection

i have tried to run it several time everyday for the past three days...so don't think it's that. Thank you for help though...

Alright....now for some reason even if I open eq2 without opening eq2map it doesnt work, no buttons work, the menu is black cant see my health bar and the level bar is black and it crashes if i try to click something or am attacked. Ive been restarting the program as well as the computor over and over and nothing has fixed it, I did a entire file scan through eq2, didn't work. So I came to the conclusion I better just uninstall the eq2map program, did so, and it's still doing it.

This is a PROBLEM, I dunno what your program did to alter all that but I'm at a loss now for how to fix this. I had gotten your program to work yesterday, it still said errors but when i restarted without opening eq2 map then opened eq2 your maps replaced the old ones and they were very helpful.
So I'd LIKE to be able to use the program but moreso, I'd like to actually be able to play the game atall.

if you just get rid of the custom directory (default is eq2map) and you will be able to play, the reason you cant play is because it cant download all the files, but it downloaded some, which messes eq2 up since it doesnt have all the files it needs to display it properly

alright i see. so...if i just download the non updating version will it then in theory, be playable?

yes, just delete everything in your custom directory the updater made and put the files from the non-updating version in there.
