auto updater

So i had to redo my laptop and got most stuff back on.. I can't get profit to be put back on at all.. whether i copy from another one of my working computers...run the patcher itself.. nothing.. patcher throws me errors and says it can't find my eq2.exe file, but I download drumsui and it uses same autoupdater and it works fine. Not sure here, any thoughts?
