Map window broken?

When I use the map window, and I resize it, some of the icons on the map stay out of the border of the map. The plus and minus icons to zoom in and out, for example, are outside the border of the map window. You can also make it so "Map Fog" sits outside the border of the map window. Is this a known issue, or can I fix this somehow?
