Default EQ2 Maps Not showing

Hey guys i've surfed around and can't find the info i need so i need to ask sorry.

I've had issues trying to install EQ2 Maps onto my Vista machine, i finally got the upater working but the maps don't seem to link with the game after further reading i found out i need to update the ini file in my eq2maps to find the UI folder i use which is called EliteUi. So when i enter the Ini file to amend it from cl_ui_subdir UI/ to cl_ui_subdir EliteUI\
I just get spammed with

cannot create the C:\Program file (x86)\EQ2map updater\eq2.ini file

can somebody please assist.

run need to run the updater as administrator on Vista, make sure you select the correct path to your eq2 (the first "browse" button) and verify that the correct UI Directory is selected (the first dropdown). However, if it is not selected but your UI works in game then that means that you have selected the wrong EQ2 path (many people have more than one installation without knowing it).

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
