ProfitUI Reborn v4.3

12 November 2007

GU40/RoK ready - do not use before your server is patched to GU40!

Changelog 4.2.1 - 4.3 (12 November 2007)

Updated a number of windows for GU40 compatibility and features, including some interesting new features on the tradeskill window.
Please delete eq2ui.xml, eq2ui_mainhud.xml, and eq2ui_mainhud_achievements.xml from your \ProfitUI folder, these files are no longer part of ProfitUI and not compatible with GU40
Modders note: All custom windows that were previously located in the MainHUD tree were moved to the new Custom tree
Modders note: The subclass detection for the persona window is no longer performed via _ProfitUI_Styles.xml
Fixed player window "frame only" mode sometimes not taking effect after logging in
The optional zone name display below the clock window now display the region within a zone instead of the entire zone's name if there is such a region. This is a RoK feature, I do not expect other zones to have regions, meaning for most zones you will not notice a change.
Persona window updated with more stats. While the default UI's persona window has received an upgrade as well, the ProfitUI window still displays more stats.
Bottom bar has not yet been updated with the new stats, but will eventually be.
Preconfiguration for POIfinder has been removed since I have not yet seen the new EQ2MAP and I do not know whether it will be compatible. It will be added back in once I know/once it has been updated.
The font size for the stack number display in your bags has been slightly increased to help readability. Unfortunately I cannot add a shadow to the font, which would be necessary to create better contrast on very light items such as ashen roots. I encourage you to /feedback this, requesting the possibility to add a ShadowStyle.
InfoCenter now has button that opens the ProfitUI FAQ in a in-game browser window.
DisplaySettings page was removed from InfoCenter since ProfitUI has its own superior display settings code
InfoCenter now includes Sword of Destiny walkthrough compiled by mortis42
Added heart/shard request to macro button 3 for assassins and moved the /assist macro to button 5 in _ProfitUI_QuickRaidButtons.txt

Update:

Fixes for v4.3 are available in v4.3.1.

I deleted the 3 files but the updater tries to reinstall them. I stopped it but do I need to add those to the ignore list?

ProfitUI Reborn v4.3 is not yet on the updater.

I will add it around the time servers come up or as soon as I'm back from work, whatever comes first.

Also downloaded the standard file based from the site here and it's all screwy

No top, bottom bars.. Most elements have no images or are not right.

Before the update things were OK it just complained about the achievements...

I'm using one of the new graphic colors in the pack released a few days ago.. Maybe that's the issue?

Yeah same here, doesn't want to connect.. Just says it can't connect and asks if I want to change my proxy settings.

When I pulled it up, the new persona window was broken. Elements on the stats page were out of alignment, for instance, and the faction page was blank. I deleted eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml for the moment.

No, it is same way for me. I will NOT go to default UI as SoE has yet to put one out that is visually or otherwise nice.

Please gm9, fix the UI and get the updater working again.

So I downloaded ProfitUI Reborn Updater 1.08 or something.. And that one doesn't even do anything.. I open up Task Manager and see that it's running, yet it does nothing.

I had the problem described but then I re-read the red line, deleted the other two files, and viola, its perfect.

everything is all fugged up now....i removed was i was told to remove....now nothing shows up, no health, no buff descriptions....completely and utterly unplayable...

I removed the correct files, wtf is going on? Here is a pic of it

Map doesn't resize
Updater doesnt connect
Persona window is messed up

Those are my issues I can see so far.
This is with a clean UI install.

I corrected the problem by copying the eq2.acheivment.xml from the default UI page and pasted it into my profit folder, AA window works.

Only thing i can find that doesnt work is the persona window/ factions tab. Nothing shows up under this right now.

Im now trying to understand why we had to remove all that stuff when its much easier to just copy and paste that file.

To fix the persona window, just delete the eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml for now.

The eq2map has zoom controls but it's not updated for resizing yet.

The other strange problems people are seeing are most likely a result of not following the directions on the red line. The autoupdater does not delete any UI files because it does not know if you're using other UI mods with Profit.

i just a huge problem

when i discover something , gain a AA or LVL , there isnt a message pop up....

when i zone , the label withzone name doesnt appear , for example passing near the queynos claymore , a message always poped , Queynos Claymore....now dont...i notice my cursor changing....

and i noticed a HUGE window in the middle of the screen , is very large ...

thats maybe the info window , but is bugged?

any ideas?

I get the same as Momo.. I've re-installed from the RoK DVD's and refreshing ProfitUI from the file.

It just appears as if the graphic .dds are not loading properly. Once I'm patched again on a clean install I'll post back with the findings. What's odd is I was ingame before updating profit and the only issue was the achievement window.

I removed the files listed per GM9 and since then it's looked void like Momo's screenshot.

GM9 will have a solution I'm sure so no need to panic or complain tooo much.. It's a wonderful UI but this is a new release and I'm sure he's just not got everything that was patched in today vs. last beta he developed on.

That window is the eq2ui_mainhud_onscreenmessage.xml window. It uses eq2ui_textstyles.xml for the text style. Profit doesn't modify those files.

As for the other window, how did it appear?

The Updater is temporaly down. But you can still download the actually version of Profit UI under http://www.eq2interface.com/download...tUIReborn.html

It works when you delete the 3 files then. I have no problem. So you dont have to use the updater right now for the fixed Profit UI.

Have fun
