Default welcome screen

is there anyway to remove or disable the new anoying welcome screen from this current patch

the last thing i want to see everytime i log is the marketplace splattered across my screen

Just open eq2.ini and add this line. Then save it.

cl_show_welcome_screen_on_startup 0

Hello
I looked in my EQ2 Folder and cant find eq2.ini but I did find eq2_default.ini
and eq2_recent.ini so which one would i install this cl_show_welcome_screen_on_startup 0 in to i even search for eq2.ini in the folder

Neither one of those will work

If you don't have an eq2.ini in your main EQ2 directory you can simply create one following the directions listed in the FAQ on this site, and then insert that line of code into it.

If you use the default UI, you won't have an eq2.ini by default because it's not included by default because it would be empty (IE it's not needed by default).
