problem opening eq2 maps

i have a new windows 7 computer been having trouble getting eq2 maps to work.
when i press short cut it asks me to open file. i select eq2maps updater settup and it shows windows security asking for username and password i have tried to us my personal on or the one for this website not sure what it was asking for and nothing works i even tried administrator funtion and still get it. what am i doing wrong. never had this much trouble before
