The most likely cause of that error is a problem with your hard drive. Though it could be something else. Try and run checkdisk/scandisk. Either way it appears to be a system error rather than a program error.

I'm very glad that the problem is resolved, sorry it had to be your hard drive dieing on you. Also thanks for posting to let me know that everything is resolved and finally if you don't mind me asking I'm curious what brand of hard drive it was that failed on you?

lol maxtor...if anyone was here from a long time ago when i first started working on the updater i almost lost all my code for the updater when my maxtor hard drive crashed on me. I was able to recover the files but i just got lucky that i had a good recovery program and that particular spot on my hard drive was totally damaged yet.

Same problem. Same fix. Scandisk found a bad file under everquest maps.
