Default Merchnat Price Lookup - Request

Greetings,
First off I'd like to say thanks to everyone for developing some killer UI mods. They have really increased my enjoyment of the game.

On to my request. I don't know if this can be done.

Ideally, I'd like an integrated feature whereby I could look up merchant prices for an item at the same time I am looking up prices for that item in the market. I have started keeping my own list of what the merchants will give me for various items and quite often it is higher than what I can get on the market. Sometimes I can even buy underpriced items on the market and sell to a merchant for a profit.

Something like this, if possible, would require the individual user to populate thier own little database of merchant prices OR do something like EQ2MAPS and the EQ2MARKETS that rely on users submitting the merchant prices for items and then the client pulls down updated lists of the prices.

Looking this up in game, and ideally in the Market window along with market prices for the item would be killer useful to me.

Any ideas??

Not possible, as far as I know.

For one, different merchants give you different prices.

It is kind of possible, but it would have limitations:

- It would have to be a static list; no searching, sorting, etc.

- All prices would have to assume the best merchant, and thus some price submissions would be incorrect (as Magus pointed out).

- Manual updates would be required each time an item changes in price.

Other than being in-game for people that prefer windowed mode, there'd be no advantage to just having a text file you can open up. (Plus, the out-of-game text file would be searchable.)
