Actualy that box me got on there is crap lol
What would be real good is somthing like the box in the original Perdition take a look at the SS below.... See how it kinnda looks like a line of rivets...
Anybody able to make somthing like that ? insted of my crappy thing please

Sucessfully managed to skin the letterbox area likes, not hard to do at all as for the usefullness of it I am not sure lol... Maybe if you turn off all the backgrounds then can place windows anywhere and still have the pattern match.... Yeh that was the idea, I remembered now lol
Heres the latest SS using the skin from my other version..
Only real thing left to do I think is maybe a few tweaks to the group window (if anyone ever logs in I know lol) Then this maybe ready for the downloads section .
I was looking at Vert classic and made me think.... Hang on nearly all the hard work has been done converting the image styles etc to eq1 look alikes I wonder how hard it would be to use that as a template to make a Lodi Dodi style UI for eq2 ...... Hmmm

I have put this up in the downloads section now after a few more tweaks to it, Last thing left to do is the damn skin... Personaly it looks good with the blue version of the original... But will work on another still

my laptop res.
Hello , alos loved your UI . I am wanting to use this compact version of it but I am still have trouble with the org.
My laptop uses ares. of 1920x1200. I have also gotten use to using this setting . Is there anyway you could make this ui for this screen res. I am currenty not using it do to all the spaces in between the windows even using the 1600 res you offer i get the same thing. I would insert a screenshot I have taken but I am not certain how. Also on my map all I get is the world map and nothing else. well tried but image to big due to laptop res. being 1920x1200

Absolutely love it. Only thing I have trouble with is there is no compass. Other than that, it's perfect.

Things I have changed
1) Incorporated the Mook: I noticed that your chatboxes had a FullBar and a Chatbar, just like DB's mook. From this I surmised that it must have been there originally. To make this look right, I had to change a few things First, I seperated the frameperdi from the perdihole. Frameperdi is positioned before Chat Display on the Z Order, and perdihole positioned below. This arrangement prevents the chat display from appearing over the top of the frame. I tried this out, and seems to be working splendidly. I also scooched out the edges of the chatframe window so that there wasnt quite as much dead space around it.
2) Toyed around with color on object until i found a perfect blend. It looks great. the hex value is #7991BB. I used that for my scrollbars, close buttons, etc. YOu can see them in my chat windows. the color LOOKS SOMETHING LIKE THIS!! See how nice that blends?
3) Useless because it doesnt save any space, but I moved all of the macro *buttons* to the start button page, and added "earth" and "norrath" labels to the clock. Later on I am going to see if I can get the round compass and the clock in the same window there. One above the other, see where that gets me.

nice UI
hey just checked out this cool UI. and i realy like the inv / ammo bar thingy at the top of it, was wondering if there was anything like that thats stand alone that i can get, have looked threw the mod pieces some looking for one as i have seen a few mods with it but have yet to find one. maybe i am just blind lol.

About the closest you are going to get is the standalone
Fetish 6Way Inventory
!! BE ADVISED !! Laffs inventory and the Fetish inventory bagbar will cause crash if you try to drag and drop into them. The other way around its not a problem (dragging FROM it)

One other bug I noticed while playing last night... some of my maintained spells don't show in the bar. i.e. eating/drinking, sow and spells from armor/rings.

Eating and drinking dont show in the maintained bar, they are only in the effects bar. The same is with the spells from the armor imbue'd effects. Not sure about rings though.

Got it, thanks dc. All is working really well, joined a raid and got to use the new raid windows. I REALLY like the way the group effects are displayed. Nice going guys.

Just stretch the hotbars and the chat windows out and reposition the other windows to suit.
Dc,
Yeh would be kool to have the round compass in there as well...
You want to post the chat and the start button files you have redone and I can stick them in the download as alt setups.. please , no point in me remaking what you have already done lol

Very strange that about the compass likes???
I made the clock / compass mod you talked about above looks kool i used the compass frame from Jaxels mod , and this un works same way you gotta damn well mouse over the compass to get the clock to snap into position everytime you log in lol ... but I dont mind that somehow its kool lol
Going to drop those files into and alt folder in this UI then bud thanks...
I will attach the compass / clock , for you to play with ,you know where to place the dds file... all I could get in was 1 of the digital times maybe you can better it

Great UI!
I just started EQ and this helps alot!
Just a few questions cuz im not sure if its part of the feature or not:
- extra chat windows disappearing after logout.
I add a couple new chat windows for my own personal use and its kinda annoying having to redo them each login.
Any way to fix this?

its a BUG that was introduced with LU10
they are fixing it LU11

Ahhh, so its not just me
So that bug makes it so a max of ONLY 2 chat windows can be saved
PS:
Is it important to actually use the servername_charactername_eq2_uisettings.ini?

As far as I know that server_charname file dont carry that bug... well I dont have the problem put it that way lol

I tested it both with and without using the servername_charactername_eq2_uisettings.ini.
I even tested it with a different UI comp and w/ just default UI.
When I use just the default UI, It even ONLY saves 1 chat window max!
With any Custom UI packs I can save 2 max chat indows.
All I want to do is save 4 chat windows total but I guess that bug is stopping me from doing that

Ahh it is a known bug as an above poster stated.
I just found an official EQ2 Tech Support post here:
